We are delighted to announce that the 10th European Sport Medicine - Congress of EFSMA - European Federation of Sports Medicine Associations will be held in Estoril, Lisbon, Portugal from 16 to 18 November 2017 at the Estoril Congress Center.
This joint major International meeting will cover a wide range of scientific knowledge and research in the domain of Sports Medicine and Sports Medicine Associations.
The conference will provide a forum for the exchange of scientific and technical information academic institutions, research organizations and between industry, on the broad range of current and emerging research areas.
Apart from the invited lectures, there will also be scientific sessions for selected proffered papers.
The congress focus is on innovation and organised with indexed and published papers, short scientific papers, as well as posters and workshops.
We look forward to your participation and it will be an honor to welcome you all at the ESFMA 2017 Congress in Estoril, Portugal.

Delegates should register on-line. In order to register on line, on the main menu, please select registration -> online registration.
For greater efficiency and expedience, online registration is highly recommended.
It is also possible to register during the conference. If you choose this on-site registration option, please anticipate a minor delay at the registration desk, since your payment will have to be processed and your accreditation printed while you wait.
Participants must confirm their arrival at the registration desk before the conference. It will speed up confirmation if you bring your payment receipt confirmation or indicate your Personal Registration Number (PRN).
The organisation reserves the right to alter the venue if necessary. If an event is cancelled the organisers shall not be responsible for airfare, hotel or other costs incurred by the registrants. Speakers and programme agenda may be subject to change.
Substitutions can be accepted at any time.
If you register online please access the online registration system and make all the appropriate changes, otherwise inform the congress secretariat by fax or by email and make sure that all relevant information is included.

A number of rooms have been reserved for EFSMA2017 participabts in hotels close to the venue. We must stress that as we are not a travel agency all our hotel selections are based on objective analysis of the properties and on a quality-cost basis.
All the hotels chosen are of a very high standard at excellent discounted rates. All hotels are located within the city centre.

Abstract submission will be open from 01st December 2016 until 30th April 2017.

In addition to invited presentations from leading researchers and special sessions dedicated to specific issues, the conference technical program will include presentations (oral, poster and e-poster) by all interested participants.
An e-poster is a multi-media approach to presenting scientific research – a digital version of the traditional boards, and is displayed on wide screens in designated areas at the EFSMA2017 Congress.
The e-poster is basically a “slide” presentation (PowerPoint, OpenOffice presentations or other formats on request) that may include text, figures, images and short video clips.
Maximum of 8 slides per e-poster.
The screens, when idle, will display a menu of the available e-posters that the delegates can choose.
These digital versions of presentations offer several advantages over their physical counterparts including: multimedia additions to the traditional format, time savings to the presenters, archival research capabilities and conference cost savings for the author.
The submission process has 5 major steps:
Abstract submission: Abstract submission must be done until 30th April 2017.
Abstract revision: The submitted abstracts will be revised by the scientific committee from 5th May 2017 to 9th June 2017.
Abstract author’s notification: All the authors whose abstracts have been approved will be notified from 13th June 2017 to 23rd June 2017.
Author's registration: All the authors whose abstracts have been approved must register as a participant before 31st July 2017.
Abstract submission deadline 2017-08-16
Abstracts must be submitted through the online submission system only.
Abstracts cannot be submitted by fax, hard copy or e-mail.
The contact data of the account will be used to contact the authors.
When submitting an Abstract you can associate one or more authors (until a maximum of 10 authors) with the Abstract.
The Abstract title must not exceed 200 (two hundred) characters (with Spaces).
The Abstract cannot exceed a maximum of 5000 (five thousand) characters (with Spaces).
The contact person will receive all correspondence concerning the Abstract submitted and is responsible for informing the other authors of the status of the Abstract.
Abstracts must be written in English.
Changes to Abstracts, for consideration by the Scientific Committee, can be made on-line up to the deadline for submission 30th April 2017.
Every approved Abstract/Paper must be associated to a registered participant (full participation and payment process completed) until 31st July 2017.
In order to associate an approved Abstract to a registered participant, in the Submission System fill in the PRN field with the PRN (Personal Registration Number) received during your registration (this information is very important).
Please note that only the contact person will be contacted concerning the status of the Abstract submitted.

Note: Don’t forget that the registration fee only includes 3 (three) Abstracts/Papers submission. An additional charge of 95 Euros will be applied for each additional Abstract submitted associated to the same registration
Withdrawing an Abstract
The withdrawal of an Abstract on the Submission System is only possible until 30th April 2017. After these dates, if you wish to withdraw an Abstract/Paper, you need to contact the Conference Secretariat by email (email@example.com).
