This two-and-a-half day live symposium, which is the eleventh in an annual series, has been designed to present and discuss the diagnosis and treatment paradigms for aortic diseases, including medical, endovascular, surgical, and hybrid options. The scientific program will be formulated by consulting the current literature and national data, in conjunction with the expertise of the Program Directors and esteemed faculty, and incorporating information gathered from online needs assessment surveys and evaluation outcomes.
This symposium is designed for vascular surgeons, cardiothoracic surgeons, interventional radiologists, cardiologists, anesthesiologists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, perfusionists, and other health care professionals involved in the care and treatment of patients with aortic diseases.

Abstract submission deadline 2018-01-05
Abstracts of original research will be considered for oral, video, and poster presentation at The Houston Aortic Symposium when submitted through January 5, 2018. Accepted poster abstracts will be on display throughout the scientific sessions. Oral and video abstracts will be presented on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at the Westin Oaks Hotel in Houston, Texas.
The abstract text should be no more than 200 words (inclusive of title, authors, institutions and text). Upon completion of the online form, you will be able to upload your full abstract as a Word document or PDF, which can include any necessary tables and pictures.
The text of your abstract should adhere to the following guidelines:
Concise statement of the purpose of the investigation
Material and methods of the study
Summary of the results
Conclusions supported by the results of the investigation
Do not include references
If accepted for presentation or display, the abstract will be printed EXACTLY AS SUBMITTED in the symposium syllabus. Please avoid errors and misspellings.
