Dear Colleagues, dear Friends,
More than a decade has passed since the publication of ISAT, the first hard evidence for a neurointerventional procedure being effective in the treatment of subarachnoid hemorrhage. ISAT has changed the management strategy of a rare disease: intracranial aneurysms, and established our position in the neurosurgical field
Recent years have brought another highly significant milestone in the maturation process of interventional neuroradiology: neurointerventional techniques have been proved to be effective in treating acute ischemic stroke.. Having its much higher incidence, ischemic stroke is going to change our job significantly. We are facing fast growth and a sudden increase of caseload. We need to establish our position in the neurology field. We are going to grow from a small group of enthusiastic people to a large crowd of busy professionals. It is now our responsibility to preserve the spirit of interventional neuroradiology.
The spirit of INR has always been based on a neverending effort for learning, innovating and sharing. The spirit of sharing has brought us together in every second year all around the world since 1991. In these historical times, sharing, strengthening our community and building connections is more important than ever. This is the reason for we invite you to join us in 2017 in a place that is a symbol of connections: Budapest, the city of bridges.
Located in the heart of Europe, Budapest connects the East and the West, the Past and the Present. In 2017, it will connect neurointerventionists and will build bridges between neuroscientific specialities, as well as scientists and medical practitioners.
In 2017, the city of bridges will host the society of connections: WFITN.
See you in Budapest, October, 16-19, 2017!
