Event Overview
Welcome message:

Our 25th Annual Spring Conference on High Risk Obstetrics is designed for physicians, certified nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, PAs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals who face challenges in the care of the high risk pregnant patient. The goal of this conference is to increase knowledge and enhance the competence of attendees. Emphasis will be placed on practical application of the evidence-based topics presented.

Topics for this year’s conference have been selected based on the educational needs determined from the identified professional practice gaps. The gaps were derived from a variety of sources including evaluations and outcomes data from past participants; clinical expert input; Symposia Medicus’ online survey; and other medical and nursing data.

Conference format will include didactic lectures, smaller group breakout and interactive sessions, case studies, and question and answer sessions.

An outstanding faculty has been assembled for this conference. Each member was selected based on their individual area of expertise and ability to communicate current, evidence-based, and practical information to participants.

You are sure to enjoy our 25th Annual Spring Conference on High Risk Obstetrics while sharing ideas and experiences with colleagues from across the country in the beautiful setting of Los Cabos, Mexico.

Los Cabos is a spectacular destination that takes its name from the union of two cities: San Jose del Cabo, where the San Jose Del Cabo International Airport (SJD) is located, and Cabo San Lucas, where the famous rock formation, El Arco is found. The Sheraton Grand Los Cabos Hacienda Del Mar is conveniently located at the Corredor, the area between both cities, only six miles from downtown Cabo San Lucas.

The fun begins at Sheraton Grand Los Cabos Hacienda Del Mar’s five unique pools that include a children’s pool, a swim-up bar, and an infinity pool that seems to melt into the Sea of Cortez. The hotel sits on Tortuga Beach with activities ranging from beach volleyball to bonfires and seaside dinners. Keeping the kids entertained has never been easier, thanks to the Sheraton Adventure Kids Club.

Treat yourself to some personal pampering at Cactus Spa, or keep up with your fitness routine at the state-of-the-art fitness center. The hotel also offers daily activities that appeal to all age groups, from tequila tastings to Spanish lessons.

Experience the natural splendor of the area with a sunset cruise along the coastline, an ATV excursion, or a canopy adventure. There are even camel rides available for those looking for an exotic method of sightseeing. Golfing, world-class fishing, and horseback riding are also available.

Guests looking for a memorable night on the town can hit the colorful streets of Cabo San Lucas for dinner, drinks, and dancing. Shop at the boutiques, or head over to Luxury Avenue at Puerto Paraiso Mall for designer brands. If a romantic dinner followed by a stroll through a historic plaza lined with art galleries and shops is more your speed, head over to the quiet town of San Jose del Cabo.

No matter what your interests may be, the lively, sun-filled city of Los Cabos promises unforgettable memories at our 25th Annual Spring Conference on High Risk Obstetrics.
