Welcome message:

This CME activity will include data presented at the 69th Annual American Academy of Neurology Meeting held in Boston, Massachusetts from April 22 – 28, 2017. Three expert faculty, two physicians and a nurse practitioner, will review the science of Parkinson’s disease, as well as Parkinson’s disease psychosis, including motor and non-motor symptoms. An analysis of the clinical trial data of current therapeutics for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease as presented at AAN 2017 will be completed. The faculty will discuss strategies to incorporate patient education and shared-decision making into individualized treatment plans to improve the quality of life for patients with Parkinson’s disease. After participating in this program, the entire healthcare team will gain further knowledge and understanding on ways to improve outcomes for patients with Parkinson’s Disease.


Target Audience

Neurologists, primary care physicians, internists, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other healthcare providers involved in the management of patients with Parkinson’s Disease


Learning Objectives

Review the science of Parkinson’s disease, as well as Parkinson’s disease psychosis, including motor and non-motor symptoms.

Analyze the clinical trial data of current therapeutics for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease as presented at AAN 2017.
