Prior to the course, participants must complete the HeartCode ACLS Part 1 eSimulation module. The HeartCode ACLS Part 1 module will be assigned to course participants 30 days prior to the class date via e-mail from email@example.com. Please add this e-mail address to your safe sender list to ensure you receive this message. Features include:

Pre-course self-assessment to gauge students’ knowledge and application of ECG recognition and pharmacology

Provides access to all information in the course for 2 years following activation of course key
Staff may also access the online provider manual without a login from the campus network. Staff who are off campus may use VPN or Citrix.
Prerequisites and preparation
Completion of the pre-test with a passing score of 70%
Certificate of completion of the ACLS HeartCode Part 1
The key code to the online course expires 60 days after activation and course participants will forfeit their fee or deposit if the online course is not completed in that time frame
The online course certificate expires 60 days after completion and cannot be used to complete the skills check-off after that date
When attending the practice and skills testing session, participants must bring their certificate of completion for the HeartCode ACLS to the course. Participants will not be allowed to complete the skills portion without the certificate.
Be courteous and on time. Students are expected to attend and participate in the entire course. Participants will not be allowed to attend the session if they are more than 5 minutes late. Late participants are considered a no show and any deposit or fee will be forfeited.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing or scrubs. You will be practicing skills that require working on your hands, bending, standing, and lifting. If you have physical conditions that might prevent you from participating in the course, please notify us prior to the course. The instructor will work to accommodate your needs within the stated course completion requirements.
