Membership is open to all professionals involved in cardiovascular disease prevention and rehabilitation.
Annual subscription for the British Association of Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation is £40 per year.
Exercise Instructors currently holding the BACPR Exercise Instructors Qualification receive a discounted subscription of £30 per year.
Joint BACPR - BCS membership is £105 for non-medical doctors and £305 for medical doctors.
Membership renewal for existing members is due April 1st of each year.

How to join?
1. BACPR membership
To join BACPR please download and complete the BACPR Membership Form.
The form includes the Direct Debit mandate, which should also be completed. Direct Debit payments are administered by BCS on behalf of BACPR.
Payment by cheque or credit card is available on request.
2. BACPR-BCS joint membership
To join BACPR as well as take advantage of a special reduced BCS membership rate please download and complete the following Joint BACPR-BCS Membership Form. Please note that Direct Debit is the only accepted payment method for joint BACPR-BCS membership.
3. Tripartite Membership
Open to all existing Non- Consultant BACPR and BANCC Members from July 2015.

Conference abstracts are invited for submission no later than 23:59 on Friday 16th June 2017. We welcome all submissions relating to clinical practice, projects, and research within cardiovascular prevention and rehabilitation.
Have you recently started or completed a Masters Degree or PhD? Are you working in a research post? Are you undertaking your first research project? If so, you may be eligible to submit your work under our ‘New Investigator in Scientific Research’ category. This category is open to novice researchers submitting work which shows clear evidence of originality, and sound scientific background and content.
The best abstracts submitted for oral presentation will be invited to present within the main programme, or as a moderated poster. Poster presentations will be featured in the exhibitor area. Prizes will be awarded for the ‘Best Oral Abstract’, ‘Best Moderated Poster’, and ‘New Investigator in Scientific Research’.
All abstracts should:
Be submitted by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Please send as a .doc attachment
Be no more than 250 words in length
Be in word format using 12 point size Arial font
Have a title in capital letters, and the organisation involved
The name(s) of the author(s) must be preceded by initials only
Omit titles and degrees and underline only the main presenter
Add full postal address and email address of the main presenter at the end
Please indicate your preferred form of presentation; Oral or Poster. Please also indicate whether the abstract is intended for submission within the ‘New Investigator in Scientific Research’ category.
Accepted posters should be produced in A1 portrait size for the study day (594mm x 841mm high or 23.4inchs wide by 33.1inchs high). If you have not received an email confirmation of receipt from BACPR within 10 working days of submission, please re-submit abstract or call 01252 854510

The British Association for Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation (BACPR) is an affiliated group of the British Cardiovascular Society. BACPR is a multi-disciplinary body to represent and serve the interests of all professionals engaged in cardiac rehabilitation and aims to ensure programmes for cardiovascular prevention and rehabilitation are clinically effective and achieve sustainable health outcomes throughout the UK.
Currently there are almost 1000 members consisting of an array of disciplines involved in cardiovascular health, including: nurses, physiotherapists, cardiologists, GPs, dietitians, occupational therapists, psychologists, exercise physiologists and exercise professionals.
BACPR produce national guidelines for structural programmes addressing cardiovascular health and work closely with other organisations in promoting excellence across this speciality.
Each October the BACPR holds an annual conference which usually attracts a large audience (250+ delegates) and each April/May a BACPR Exercise Professionals Group Spring Study (150+ delegates).
There are varying opportunities for partners to support BACPR including exhibition stands at conference, leaflets in delegate packs and sponsored lunchtime sessions.
