Nurses

The American College of Cardiology Foundation is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.


The ACCF designates this educational activity for a maximum of 22 continuing education hours (7.25 pharmacology contact hours).  Requirements for successful completion are attendance in a session in its entirety and completing the evaluation tool.


While offering credits noted above, the course is not intended to provide extensive training or certification in the field.

Small groups allow you to spend time comparing strategies and procedures with both your colleagues and faculty.

LEARNER OBJECTIVES


The overall goal of this course is to offer cardiovascular clinicians a core competency-based curriculum through a comprehensive review of best practices in cardiovascular care as well as a discussion of the latest updates in cardiovascular disease management. 


Upon completion of this course, attendees should be able to —


Identify best practices of the cardiovascular physical examination

Evaluate the results of diagnostic studies needed for the care of the cardiovascular patient

Improve utilization of cardiovascular pathophysiology knowledge

Determine appropriate management strategies for patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular disease

Analyze practice implications of recently released ACC/AHA guidelines pertaining to the use of pharmacological and therapies for the cardiovascular patient
