WHEN IPEG WAS FOUNDED IN 1991, OUR GOALS WERE SIMPLE:
To assure that all pediatric surgeons, pediatric urologists and general surgeons who treat children have access to current information defining the best, least invasive surgical treatment.
To encourage development and evaluation of those treatments through peer-to-peer communication, education, and research.

Persons who are accredited trainees in the Surgery of children and adolescents, with a special interest in Minimally Invasive Surgery or Therapy

IPEG is truly an international organization. Not only do we have members in 52 countries, every region of the world is represented on the Executive Committee:

Asia, India, the Pacific and the Middle East, incorporating all states and nations east of the Suez Canal and bordered by Russia and Turkey, inclusive of the islands in the Pacific Rim

Those of us who perform endoscopy and minimal access surgery on children understand the special nature of the surgery we do. More than 600 surgeons from many different disciplines have joined our ranks, our membership includes surgeons and urologists from over 50 different countries.

The challenge before us is to establish a firm base for IPEG so that we can meet and surpass our educational and research goals. We have created seven volunteer committees made up of IPEG members interested in creating standards of practice, in pursuing outcomes & research, in organizing excellent educational meetings and courses, in growing the membership of IPEG and identifying new emerging technology.

Membership will be verified; all registrations at the member rate without valid corresponding membership record will be charged the non member fee.
* You may register as a member as long as you complete an IPEG membership application by March 1, 2018. If you register as a Non Member and complete an application by March 1st, you may be refunded the difference.
GUESTS are welcome to register at the rate of $150 US which includes Reception & Main Event. Complimentary for children under 14.

The W is the headquarter hotel for IPEG’s 27th Annual Congress for Endosurgery in Children, located steps away from the Washington State Convention Center where the congress will be held. The W has provided a special discounted rate for the registrants attending IPEG. The discounted group rates apply until the reservation deadline of March 13, 2018 or until all rooms in the block have been reserved, whichever occurs first. After March 13, 2018 the discounted group rate will no longer be available. We encourage you to confirm your reservations early. Abstract submission deadline 2018-01-12
You are invited to submit papers to the Innovations Session to be held during the 2018 IPEG Annual Meeting. The meeting will be held April 11-14, 2018 at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, WA. This category of abstract is open to both physicians and industry engineers / scientists / researchers. It should be used for reporting on cutting edge or emerging technologies for which formal experimental data may not yet be available. Developers and inventors are encouraged to present their own work.
IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO SUBMIT OR DISCUSS ANY IDEAS OR INVENTIONS, before you submit or discuss them, please keep in mind that discussing or displaying them at this meeting may be considered a public disclosure of the idea or invention, which can negatively affect your right to protect that idea or invention. You may also have duties to your employer relating to that idea or invention, and should discuss the impact of a disclosure with the proper representatives of your employer before you submit or discuss it.
Abstracts will be accepted until January 12, 2018 and will undergo an expedited review process. This session is appropriate for technologies that may still be under development. Since the Innovation Session will not include CME credit, topics are not limited to formal studies or experiments but may include description based abstracts or very preliminary results. Presentations will be 5 to 10 minutes in length. Accepted abstracts will be published in the official IPEG Final Program to be distributed onsite. Submissions should follow the following format:
Objective of the technology or device
Description of the technology and method of its use or application
Preliminary results if available
Conclusions / future directions.
