Improve management of the critical patient or patient in shock.

Diagnose acute respiratory complications of regional anesthesia such as pneumothorax and diaphragmatic paresis.

Evaluate for patients with interstitial syndrome or pleural effusions.

Manage challenging airway patients.

Assess and diagnose patients with cardiopulmonary changes such as hypotension, hypoxia and shock.

Assess NPO status of patients.

Assess for intra-abdominal fluid and abdominal compartment syndrome via the Focused Assessment with Sonography for Trauma (FAST) exam.

Introduction to Perioperative Point-of-Care Ultrasound is organized by American Society for Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (ASRA) and would be held during Feb 24 - 25, 2018 at Omni San Diego Hotel, San Diego, California, United States of America.
