This meeting will be held exactly two years after the launch of the Lancet Commission on global surgery and anaesthesia It is the perfect time to reflect upon the current outcomes of the Commission which convened a team of academics, clinicians, economists, government, multilateral and non-governmental actors to mainstream surgery on the global health agenda. Two years on, 5 billion people are still lacking access to timely, affordable, surgical care. Join us to discuss the big successes, remaining challenges we face as an international surgical community.
