Conference Description :
The medical and surgical treatment of sinonasal disorders is rapidly changing as a result of evidence-based recommendations and technologic advances. Both practicing otolaryngologists and residents-in-training need to be aware of current treatment recommendations and guidelines, standards of care, and state-of-the-art advances in order to provide patients with the best possible care.
The goal of this two-day course is to provide practicing otolaryngologists and residents-in-training with in-depth evidence-based information on advanced medical and surgical management of patients with rhinosinusitis and associated otolaryngologic conditions, such as epistaxis, cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea, and other diseases of the sinonasal cavity and skull base. The format includes didactic presentations, panel discussions, and interactive laboratory dissection sessions.

After participating in this activity, clinicians should be able to:
• Select appropriate cases in which to employ the use of a lumbar drain following endoscopic repair of CSF rhinorrhea
• Use evidence-based recommendation when determining when to use antibiotics, as well as using culture-directed therapy when appropriate
• Diagnose non-sinus etiologies of headache better
