This course is designed for Healthcare Providers who participate in, initiate, or direct advanced life support in pediatric emergencies. The goal of the PALS course is to aid the pediatric healthcare provider in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently and effectively manage critically ill infants and children, resulting in improved outcomes. Skills taught include recognition and treatment of infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest; the systematic approach to pediatric assessment; effective respiratory management; defibrillation and synchronized cardioversion; intraosseous access and fluid bolus administration; and effective resuscitation team dynamics. Students will receive a course completion card upon completion of the written and skills exam.
If it is necessary for you to cancel your registration for this course, your registration fee will be refunded less a $75 book/administration fee, provided you notify us five days prior to your scheduled class. Failure to cancel five days prior to the scheduled class will forfeit the registration fee.
