10th Asia-Pacific Congress of Medical Virology
Taipei International Convention Center (TICC) #
Taipei, TAIWANDear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are pleased to extend an invitation to you to attend the 10th Asia-Pacific Congress of Medical Virology 2015 (APCMV 2015) in conjunction with 12th Taipei International Conference on HIV/AIDS, which will be held in Taipei International Convention Center, from October 15th (Thur.) to October 18th (Sun.), 2015!
As you might be aware of, the Asia-Pacific Congress of Medical Virology is held every three years and focuses on diagnostic, public health, research and clinical virology. It’s our great pleasure to announce the Congress will be its first time in Taipei since 1988 and hosted by Taiwan Society of Microbiology (TSM), collaborating with Centers for Disease Control, Ministry of Health and Welfare (Taiwan CDC), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (USA CDC), Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan, Global Chinese Association of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (GCACMID), MOHW-NTU Infectious Diseases Research and Education Center, Taiwan Association for the Study of the Liver (TASL), Taiwan AIDS Society, The Infectious Diseases Society of Taiwan (IDST), and The National Health Research Institutes (NHRI).
In the past years, new viruses such as Ebola virus, avian-influenza A viruses and MERS-CoV have emerged. Conditions of agriculture and wildlife are such that new virus will continue to be a threat to human health, and Asia is no doubt a hot zone. There is also encouraging progress on the development of new therapeutic agents and strategy to preserve the health of patients suffering from viral infections such as HIV-1 and hepatitis viruses. The 10th Congress will review, present and discuss current progress in each of these areas. All of the participants are going to share and exchange their advanced knowledge and precious experiences. With your great support and participation, the Congress will be certainly a big success.
Most important of all, you cannot miss the chance to explore the beauty of Formosa as well as to experience the greatest hospitality of this island. We sincerely look forward to seeing you in Taipei in October, 2015.
