INVITATION TO THE 10th EADV SPRING SYMPOSIUM
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
On behalf of the Local Organising Committee, I have great pleasure in inviting you to the 10th EADV Spring Symposium which will take place in Cracow, Poland, from 23 - 26 May, 2013.
This is the first time that an EADV Symposium has been organized in Poland. The Polish Dermatological Society, founded in 1921, is honoured to have been selected to host this anniversary event.
The 10th EADV Spring Symposium will be run under the theme “The Burden of Skin Diseases”. This is a multidimensional concept which places due emphasis not only on the diseased skin but also on its impact on the patient’s psyche and family. Additionally, it incorporates the financial and social consequences which may follow. In these days of increased prevalence of skin problems, this is undoubtedly a worthy concept to explore.
My colleagues and I invite you to discover Cracow, the city of Polish kings and the former capital of Poland. Welcome to the city built around the royal castle on the hill above the Vistula, the largest river in the country. Cracow is regarded as the most beautiful city in Poland. It is a city full of history with numerous splendid architectural monuments, a place where different cultures meet. Cracow is also the city of science with one of the oldest universities in the world, Jagielonian University, which recognises Nicolaus Copernicus, the astronomer, amongst its many famous graduates. Cracow was also one of the most beloved places of our Polish pope, John Paul II. I am sure you will enjoy the unique and special ambience of this “magical” European city.
I am very much looking forward to welcoming you to Poland.
Let us celebrate the 10th EADV Spring Symposium in Cracow!
