10th German Society of General and Visceral Surgery (DGAV) – Surgery Update Seminar – Berlin
We cordially invite you to the 10th DGAV Surgery Update Seminar. This event has established itself over the last ten years as a standard of training in general and visceral surgery. Even in the 10th year, we remain true to our successful concept: The team of experts comments on all studies of the past year that are important for your area of expertise, analyzes them critically and provides you with solid advice for clinics and practices.
In addition to the proven topics, the Surgery Update 2018 will be expanded to include the following hot topics:
pathology
Wound Management / peritonitis
coagulation
The surgery update is the official update of the DGAV and is under the auspices of the professional associations from Austria (ÖGCH) and Switzerland (SGC).
We look forward to welcoming you as a guest of our anniversary event in Mainz or Berlin!

The name KARL STORZstands for innovative excellence in the entire field of endoscopy. Founded in 1945, the company has grown into a globally operating company with currently 5,300 employees, 8 production facilities and 25 foreign sales and marketing companies, whose company history is intimately linked to the advances in modern endoscopy. With the development of the cold light source and the HOPKINS® rod lens optics, KARL STORZ not only found a viable solution for the two basic problems of modern endoscopy - the transmission of light into the body and the transmission of images from the body - but also laid the foundation for Minimally invasive surgery, which has revolutionized many areas of medicine in recent years.
Today's product range includes rigid and flexible endoscopes, endoscopic instruments and devices for more than 14 human medical disciplines as well as for veterinary and industrial endoscopy. In addition, KARL STORZ has consistently furthered the need for brilliant image reproduction and is today a leader in the field of camera technology. The system concept is the focus of the product range. The advantages of the KARL STORZ systems interact optimally - the result is a system solution that offers more than the sum of the individual product advantages.
Even in the 21st century, KARL STORZ succeeds in positioning itself successfully. At that time, as today, the focus is on the medical requirements for functionality and ergonomics as well as the use of technology for the benefit of the patient. Through intensive, professional exchange with leading physicians, university clinics and research institutes, the products and services can be consistently aligned to the needs of the medical practice.
It is no secret that customer satisfaction can not be achieved by qualitative, brilliant and high-quality products alone. Fast and high-quality services are a matter of course for KARL STORZ.
