This conference provides a state of the art forum for discussion of current research and clinical care in newborn brain monitoring and neuroprotection.
With an international faculty of leading opinion leaders, this conference provides a unique opportunity to hear brain monitoring and neuroprotection discussed comprehensively with an intersection between research and evidence based clinical care at a time when both fields are growing rapidly. Accompanying workshops are an integral part of the conference and are designed to guide and provide a unique training experience.
The 10th International Conference on Brain Monitoring and Neuroprotection in the Newborn will be held in Killarney, Co. Kerry located in the scenic South West of Ireland. The 10th International Conference on Brain Monitoring and Neuroprotection in the Newborn is dedicated to providing a forum for the continuing education of professionals working to improve the neurological and developmental health outcomes of premature and sick newborns. This conference explores means to understand, monitor, protect and treat the developing brain of the premature and term neonate.
Material presented in the abstracts should be organized and presented according to accepted scientific style. All new investigational studies must include the hypothesis being tested, methods, results with applicable statistics, and discussion and/or implications regarding practice.
There will be a number of prizes in a range of categories for best poster presentations. These will be awarded on Saturday the 7th of October 2017.
The conference committee invites you to submit an abstract for oral or poster presentation regarding, but not limited to, the following topics:
Fetal or neonatal brain development
Neuroprotection strategies in the neonate
Neonatal Neurointensive Care
Continuous EEG monitoring – theory and applications
Other forms of brain monitoring, such as NIRS, fMRI, biochemical, etc.
Long‐term outcome studies
Neonatal clinical trials of medicines and/or devices
Abstracts should include the following sections, as applicable.

Format: 300 words maximum
