The National and International Scientific Planning Committees invite you to attend the Tenth World Congress on Brain Injury, “Neurotrauma, Technology, and Neurorehabilitation,” in San Francisco, California, on March 19-23, 2014. This biennial Congress is the principal activity of the International Brain Injury Association, and is unique in its international focus on transdisciplinary advances in the science, clinical aspects, and public policy issues of traumatic and other acquired brain injuries.
The scientific program will offer keynote and plenary addresses on the congress theme by luminaries in the field. Congress participants will have opportunities to present their work and to learn about advances made by others in the science of brain injury and the care of persons and families affected by brain injuries through scientific poster and paper presentations, workshops, exhibitor demonstrations, candlelight sessions with international experts, as well as, pre- and post-conference symposia. The IBIA awards are presented during the Congress, including the Jennett Plum Award for Clinical Achievement in the Field of Brain Injury Medicine, the Henry Stonnington Awards for best review articles in Brain Injury, the Young Investigator Award, the Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Car of the Year Award. The Congress also provides an outstanding and unparalleled forum for networking and socialization with like-minded colleagues from around the world, and offers a host of exhibits by governmental, non-governmental, and private enterprises.
As the shimmering “City by the Bay,” San Francisco’s distinctive terrain – water on one side, hills on the other – leads to spectacular views and experiences that could only happen here. The city’s wide array of attractions, activities, and personality-infused neighborhoods appeal to visitors of all ages. There is easy access to San Francisco from Europe, Asia, Australia, South America and North America. Social events are available to congress participants and their guests, through which the depth, breadth, and beauty of our host city and Northern California can be explored.
See you by the bay!
