Nominations will be reviewed by the World Obesity Awards Committee and the winners will be announced by the 20 December 2015.

International Scientific Committee (ISC) will welcome abstracts for poster and oral presentations.
Abstract Guidelines
Abstract submission works best in Google Chrome. We advise submitters to use this internet browser to ensure minimal software glitches.
We are only able to accept abstracts submitted online
All abstracts should be written in English
Abstracts should include the Background, Aims, Key Methods, Results and Conclusions (section headings are not required)
Abstracts should contain new data or analyses/trial protocols
The maximum character count is 1500 (including spaces) – this includes the body of the text, tables and footnotes
The submission fee is £16 (approx CAD$30) per abstract; this is non-refundable
Abstracts will be reviewed by the International Scientific Committee (ISC) whose decisions will be sent to you by 20 December 2015
Presenters of accepted abstracts are expected to register for and attend the congress
Abstract submitters not registered by Friday 19th February 2016 will have thier abstracts removed from the abstract book.
Submitters are asked to select the session that best fits the topic of their abstract during the submission process
World Obesity and the Canadian Obesity Network suggest that presenters use"people first" language and non-stigmatizing images in presentations.

Conflict of Interest and Funding Disclosure
Authors should disclose any conflicts of interest and funding sources at the foot of the abstract.
Publication
Abstracts will be published in the journal Obesity Reviews, as a supplement. A copy of the abstract book (electronic or hard copy) will be provided to all registered delegates.
Abstract Presentation
Abstracts will be accepted for Poster Presentations or as 15 minute Oral Presentations (10 min + 5 min for questions).
Oral presentations will be within a structured Symposia on the topic.
Poster authors are expected to stand by their poster during its scheduled presentation time.
Authors will be notified of the outcome of the ISC review by 20 December 2015, prior to the early bird registration deadline, 31 January 2016
Further information on presentation will be provided at this time.
Accreditation
SCOPE accreditation will be provided to meeting attendees. A certificate will be issued to those requiring documentation.
