Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the local organizing committee, I would like to invite you to the 14th Asian Australasian Congress of Neurological Surgeons (AACNS) during 15 – 18 April 2015 in Jeju Island, Korea.

AACNS is held once every four years and is the official congress of the society. AACNS is one of the region’s most eminent medical congresses dedicated to neurological surgery. Hosted by AASNS and organized by AACNS 2015 Organizing Committee and Korean Neurosurgical Society (KNS), the four-day congress aims to provide neurological surgeons an excellent platform for the exchange of clinical and scientific knowledge on the latest developments and emerging challenges of neurological surgery and allied sciences. AACNS 2015 will be held in conjunction with the 13th Asian-Oceanian Skull Base Congress, and KNS Meeting. Therefore, this congress will feature an exciting line-up of expert speakers including top practitioners, opinion leaders and researchers mostly from Asian-Australasian sector as well as from other parts of the world.

Jeju is Free International Island with No Visa and No Tax. Jeju has world class Convention Center and various lodging facilities. Jeju is Island of Peace with well-preserved natural environment; Registered UNESCO World Natural Heritage (Jeju Volcanic Island and Lava Tubes), UN designated Man and Biosphere preservation Zone, and WHO designated safe city. I would like to welcome you and your fellow professionals and families to enjoy the AACNS and to experience beautiful scenic natural wonders and cultural activities Jeju has to offer.

Submission Info

• The deadline for abstract submission is 1 December 2014. No abstracts will be accepted after this date.
• Abstracts must be prepared exclusively in English.
• Abstracts should be limited to 300 words, and must include the four areas:

1. Introduction – A brief statement on the purpose of the study and the current state of research in the field
2. Material & Methods – The methods of study or experimental approach must be defined briefly.
3. Results – A summary of the study results, including sufficient details to support those conclusions.
4. Conclusion – A statement describing the significance of the work and its implications for further research.

• Abstract should be submitted in TEXT only. DO NOT USE SCIENTIFIC SYMBOLS, CHARTS, GRAPHS OR TABLES IN YOUR ABSTRACT.
• References are not required for abstract submission.
• Abstracts previously submitted for publication or submitted, accepted or presented at other neurosurgical and/or medical meetings will not be accepted.
• Please ensure that your e-mail address is accurate at the time of submission. All correspondence will be sent via e-mail to the corresponding author (abstract submitter). Should the corresponding author’s email address change after the submission deadline, please notify the congress secretariat at info@aacns2015.com to update this information.
• All presenters of selected abstracts are required to register and pay the appropriate registration fees.
• Only presenters of selected abstracts who are fully registered and paid will have their abstracts included in the final programme book.
• Abstracts should be proofread prior to submission, as in many cases they are published as submitted.
• Abstract data cannot be altered after the online abstract submission system has closed.
• The type of presentation (oral or poster) choice selected during the submission process is a request only. The accepted format is at the discretion of the Scientific Program Committee.
