Event Overview
Welcome message:

Dear Colleague and Friends,

On behalf of the International Society for Diseases of the Esophagus (ISDE), it is a great pleasure to welcome you to the 14th World Congress of the ISDE to be held in beautiful Vancouver, Canada, in September 2014.

The Congress promises to offer a ground breaking scientific program that covers a wide variety of topics illustrating the latest scientific and clinical developments in the field of esophagology.  The World Congress has become the premier platform not only for the presentation of new science, but also for unique networking opportunities. With more than 800 delegates from around the world attending this meeting, it provides the ideal forum to discuss the latest findings, put them into context and really understand how it can affect your practice day to day.

We have developed a stimulating program that includes Keynote Lectures, Symposia, and Video, Oral and Poster Abstract Presentations. Pre-Congress Postgraduate Workshops are also organized on “Diagnostics for Esophageal Pathologies”, and “Surgery and Endoscopy Master Class”.

We encourage you to participate actively in the discussions and hope the meeting helps in the exchange of information and development of new collaborations. Take advantage of the various networking opportunities the Congress offers. Join us for the Welcome Reception and Gala Dinner for opportunities to mix and mingle with exhibitors, friends and colleagues.

Vancouver offers some of the most scenic landscapes in North America.  On the edge of the Pacific Ocean nestled on an inlet surrounded by soaring mountains, it has large urban parks suitable for a bike ride, stroll or an early morning jog.  Vancouver has beaches, top notch celebrity restaurants, and world renowned shopping.  You must leave time in your stay to explore this jewel of Canada.

We look forward to welcoming you to an inspiring, educational, and enjoyable program in vibrant and beautiful Vancouver!

Best regards,

Dr. Simon Law               Dr. John Pandolfino
