Event Overview
Welcome message:

Our 15th Annual Summer Conference on Women’s Health is designed to provide the most current clinical information to healthcare professionals involved in caring for women. The primary goal of this conference is to increase knowledge and enhance the competence of attendees. Emphasis will be placed on practical application of the evidence-based topics presented.

Topics for this year’s conference have been selected based on the educational needs determined from the identified professional practice gaps. The gaps were derived from a variety of sources including evaluations and outcomes data from past participants; clinical expert input; Symposia Medicus’ online survey; and other medical and nursing data.

Conference format will include didactic lectures, smaller group breakout and interactive sessions, case studies, and question and answer sessions.

An outstanding faculty has been assembled for this conference. Each member was selected based on their individual area of expertise and ability to communicate current, evidence-based and practical information to participants.

California’s wine country offers scenic countryside, great wines and superb restaurants. With over 450 wineries offering a variety of wines for all tastes, it’s no wonder that the Napa Valley is considered the heart of the American wine industry. Located approximately 50 miles north of San Francisco, there is much more to Napa than just its grapes! Enjoy hot-air ballooning, horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, or playing golf amid the vineyards. Find incredible discounts on your favorite brand-names at the Napa Premium Outlets or visit Old Town for more unique shopping. Visit the recently restored Napa Valley Opera House for music headliners. It might be wine that comes to mind when thinking of the Napa Valley, but with world-renowned restaurants, such as The French Laundry, it’s the food that will lead you to a happy stomach and heart. With so much to do, you’ll find that fine wine is only a part of this abundant valley.

If the Napa Valley isn’t enough to keep your interest, San Francisco, with Fisherman’s Wharf, Chinatown and famous cable cars, is just an hour away; Muir Woods National Monument is a mere 45 minutes away; or the kid inside you will love the excitement of Six Flags Amusement Park, located just 20 minutes away.

The Napa Valley Marriott Hotel & Spa combines modern convenience with traditional comfort. Exercise at the state-of-the-art fitness center, or enjoy “The Spa,” one of the best full-service spas in the Napa Valley. Enjoy the cuisine at VINeleven, the hotel’s indoor/outdoor restaurant and bar, specializing in small and shared plates, and featuring an amazing list of Napa Valley’s finest wines.
