It is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate in the 15th Emirates Ophthalmology Congress (EOC 2013). This annual International Conference will focus on Updates and innovations in Ophthalmology, from 12 – 14 December 2013 in Dubai, UAE.

The 2013 meeting will provide a forum for the latest advancements, reviews of current theory and practice, and hands-on problem-based learning. Participants will gain insight into the most effective advances in the diagnosis and management of eye disease and prevention of blindness. Subspecialty sessions will cover the topics of Retina, Glaucoma, Cataract and Refractive surgery. A comprehensive poster program will be featured and will be digitally available at all times. Companies will hold lunch symposia.

Editorial Guidelines for Presented Content:
  • Deadline for Abstract submission is August 30th 2013.
  • All submissions must be online.
  • All submissions must be in English only
  • Abstracts submitted as hard copies or via e-mail will not be processed.
  • Follow all the instructions on the abstract submission form. Failure to complete all the required fields will result in the abstract not being successfully submitted.
  • Submission of an abstract includes a commitment by the author to present at the EOC.
  • All presenters are required to register for the EOC and pay all applicable fees.
  • The EOC does not pay honoraria or travel/housing expenses for any presenters.
  • The scientific committee holds the right to accept or reject any submission.
  • The presenter (1st author) will be contacted by the scientific committee regarding the acceptance of the abstract.
  • Each presenter is allowed to submit a maximum of 2 papers, 4 posters, 1 course, 2 videos.
  • Courses and Workshops should not exceed 2 hours, if the course or workshop will exceed the time required a 15 min. break must be incorporated in the schedule.
  • Videos on any aspect of ophthalmic surgery will be considered.
  • Courses and Workshops will be considered in all aspects of ophthalmology.
