Event Overview
Welcome message:

On behalf of The University of Chicago Celiac Disease Center and the ICDS 2013 Scientific and Organizing Committees, it is with great excitement that we invite you to the 15th International Celiac Disease Symposium in Chicago on September 22-25, 2013.

The Scientific Forum is designed for those in active research roles in the area of celiac disease and gluten-related disorders, including Scientists, Physician Scientists, Researchers, Fellows and other investigators. This is a forum for these investigators to debate and discuss new theories and data on topics selected by the Scientific Committee.  These experts will present, debate and challenge the latest findings to help further the research process. All are invited to submit abstracts for consideration beginning March 1, 2013. Those selected for presentation will be notified by July 31, 2013.

The Clinical Forum is designed for clinicians, such as Physicians, Registered Dietitians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses and those living with celiac disease or non-celiac gluten sensitivity.  This forum will allow participants to learn about the latest research and scientific advances from the world's leading experts—the very same experts who will be presenting in the Scientific Forum.  The information presented will be highly relevant for practical application in both clinical settings and everyday living. Additionally, the Clinical Forum will explore subjects not covered in the Scientific Forum, such as public policy, psychology and the problems surrounding celiac disease in emerging countries. Sessions will allow ample time for Q&A and interactive discussion. This international meeting has not been held in the U.S. since 2006. Future meetings are planned for Europe and Asia. This is indeed a singular opportunity for U.S.-based attendees to participate without incurring the additional costs of overseas travel. The ICDS service providers are available on the ICDS2013.org website to help you plan your participation.

We hope you will join us and your fellow colleagues and friends in Chicago in this great endeavor to improve the lives of those living with disease!

Sincerely,

Stefano Guandalini, MD

General Info

Dear Colleagues,

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the 15th International Celiac Disease Symposium, which will take place on September 22-25, 2013 in Chicago, Illinois.

The ICDS 2013 follows the success of the symposium that was held in Oslo, Norway in 2011. The purpose of the symposium is to bring together scientists, practitioners, students, and patients to better understand the facts and research behind celiac disease. The meeting will enable the exchange of ideas and knowledge among different disciplines in order to facilitate new research and progress that focuses on celiac disease and gluten-related disorders.

We look forward to welcoming you to the 15th International Celiac Disease Symposium in Chicago. With your help, we hope to make this one of the largest and most memorable events to date.

Thank You,
The Organizing Committee
