Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased and honored to announce that the 17th European Conference on Personality (ECP17) will be held at the University of Lausanne (Switzerland), from July 15 to July 19, 2014. The conference is co-organized by the European Association of Personality Psychology (EAPP) and the Institute of Psychology at the University of Lausanne. ECP17 will take place just after the 28th International Congress of Applied Psychology (ICAP 2014), held July 9 to July 13, 2014 in Paris, France.

With 7 keynote presentations, 12 invited symposia, 12 open-call symposia, 16 paper sessions, 2 poster sessions, and 2 pre-conference workshops, we expect to cover a wide variety of topics, including: personality, health and well-being; personality and neuroscience; personality and work and organizational psychology; personality and psychopathology; personality, motivation, and emotion; and many others. Moreover, there will be several awards:  the EAPP Early Achievement Award; the Life Career Award; and awards for the three best posters.

The biannual ECP conference is among the most important events to promote and exchange the most exciting research in personality. We hope that Lausanne, the Olympic capital, ideally situated next to Lake Geneva and the Alps, will offer a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere for networking with leading experts, emerging scholars, and enthusiastic young students in personality psychology.

The number of hotel rooms in Lausanne is limited because many evens are organized during the summer. For this reason, we advise you to book your hotel rooms as soon as possible.

Hotel reservations are managed by Lausanne Tourisme through the registration page.
Hotel prices range between 90.- and 380.- CHF.

Hotel Guarantee
In order to guarantee hotel booking requests, credit card details will be requested from each participant. The credit card will only be charged in the case of cancellation or “no-show”. Rooms cannot be booked without providing credit card information. Payment must be made at the hotel upon the participant’s arrival.

Accommodation Cancellation Policy
We kindly ask you to read carefully the following conditions for hotel booking and cancellation.

In case of cancellation, the following terms will apply:

• Up to 14 days before your arrival date: no cancellation fee will be charged.
• Less than 14 days before your arrival: one (1) night will be charged on your credit card.
• In case of “no-show”: one (1) night will be charged on your credit card.

Rates
Hotel rates are in Swiss Francs (CHF) per room, per night, including breakfast, VAT and service. The city tax is not included and ranges from CHF 2.10 to CHF 3.40 per person and per night, depending on the hotel category.

Submission Info

The abstract should be maximum 150 words excluding the title and the list of authors. All the authors should be included in the submission together with the indication of their affiliation and email address. Below is a summary of required information:

• Submission Title
• Subject Area
• Keywords
• Abstract describing the content (150 words maximum)
• Presenter and Co-Author Information, including affiliation and email address

To facilitate to constitution of the program and the review process each abstract has to be linked with one of the 19 topics covered by the conference:

Three keywords should be mentionned at the end of each abstract.

Poster boards are 1.20m (wide) x 1.80m (high) with a “portrait” orientation.

Symposium and Invited Symposium Submission Format

In a symposium the speakers present their view on a common issue. A symposium includes a chairperson and up to 4 presentations, which may include a discussant (optional). The chair is responsible for submitting a symposium summary (max. 150 words) and collect the abstracts of all the individual presentations (max. 150 words), which have to be submitted together with the symposium abstract.

• Presenter Information:
• Chair name, including affiliation and e-mail address
• Presenter names, including affiliation and e-mail address and list of co-authors with their respective affiliation and email address
