The Congress

The theme of the Congress is:

Rooted in the heart of Europe

The Congress is aimed at the entire dental team, particularly, ESE specialist and certified members, ESE ordinary members (affiliated to full member national Societies), Endodontists, General Dental Practitioners, Postgraduate Students, Academics, Hospital-based dentists and our partners from the dental industry. The ESE wants to attract not only those from Europe but also from the rest of the world – indeed, anyone with an interest in Endodontology and the associated biological, biomaterial and clinical sciences.

The Scientific Programme will have:

Four parallel sessions with world-leading invited speakers addressing key topics relating to the theme of the congress – Rooted in the heart of Europe with lectures covering the fundamental and advanced clinical procedures involved in Endodontics;

The Wladimir Adlivankine European Society of Endodontology Research Prize and Education Prize presentations (following acceptance of abstracts);

Original Scientific Research posters and selected oral presentations (following acceptance of abstracts);

Original oral short presentations (following acceptance of abstracts);

Clinical Posters and selected oral presentations (following acceptance of abstracts);

General Endodontic posters (following acceptance of abstracts);

A range of pre-congress courses on 13th September 2017; and

Social events will include:

Welcome Reception on the evening of Wednesday, 13th September, 2017 in the exhibition area;

ESE reception on the evening of Thursday, 14th September, 2017;

Submission Info

Each abstract category has specific and unique requirements - so please read the instructions carefully before submission. If you enter your abstract into the wrong category it will automatically be entered into the General Endodontic section. For example, Clinical Research should be submitted to the Original Scientific section NOT the clinical section.

Submission Instructions

Submissions are accepted / rejected based on:

submission to the correct category;

adherence to the guidelines for submission to the category;

quality of the submission.

You MUST read this information and view the samples and frequently asked questions before submission.

Submission Process Rules

Submissions will be accepted from 1st January 2017 up to midnight (GMT) on 1st March 2017.

All submissions must in the English language.

Submitters are responsible for the accuracy of all data submitted including correct spelling of names and institutions.

It is expected that the submitter will include appropriate credit to all contributing authors and to associated institutions.

Check to ensure that all authors are listed before submitting an abstract. All co-authors must agree that the abstract can be submitted for presentation

Abstracts should not be submitted if they have already been or will have been published or presented at another meeting.

Authors may co-author multiple abstracts but only submit ONE in each category.

General Information

Changes cannot be made once the abstract has been submitted; revisions can only occur once a decision of acceptance has been made.

Abstract decisions will be available in the online submission site after the 1st May. Submitters should log in and view the decision on their submission after 1st May. Presentation details, e.g. room, day, time and moderator will also be available here once these have been decided.

Authors are invited to present their work only when the submission has been accepted. Abstracts not accepted for the Original Scientific posters, Clinical posters or oral presentations on freely chosen subjects may be accepted in the General Endodontic section. Authors will have an opportunity to select whether they wish their abstract to be withdrawn or considered for this section. Please note General Endodontic posters will NOT be moderated.

There will be an extensive Trade Exhibition in the Conference Centre, which will be open throughout the Congress. The ESE is seeking sponsors and exhibitors for this important event.
