Abstract submission is closed as of September 7, 2016 11:59 pm Central Standard Time (USA). Late submissions of regular abstracts will not be accepted. Late-Breaking Abstracts will only be accepted if they strictly fulfill the criteria of a PAS Congress Late-Breaking Abstract. For further information regarding Late-Breaking Abstract criteria and submission, please review the guidelines for Late-Breaking Abstracts below.
Abstract Review Process
The PAS Congress Scientific Program Committee will review all abstracts in September 2016. Authors are required to select one category under which their abstract should be reviewed. The Committee shall be directed to reject abstracts for the following causes:
Subject not related to the field of Movement Disorders
Does not meet basic submission requirements
Notifications will be sent via e-mail in early October 2016.
Attendance is Required
Accepted abstract presenters must be in attendance at the PAS Congress in Miami to present their poster(s), and should plan to attend from February 24-26, 2017, as poster presentation dates are subject to change.
Presenting authors must pre-register for the PAS Congress by December 30, 2016 and pay applicable registration fees. There is no registration discount for accepted abstract authors. Abstracts without a registered author will be withdrawn from publication and removed from the poster presentation. Exceptions will be granted upon notification to firstname.lastname@example.org prior to December 30, 2016.
Regular Abstract Publication
Abstracts accepted for presentation will be published in an electronic supplement to the Movement Disorders journal, online edition.
Changes After Submitting Are Strongly Discouraged
If critical changes need to be made to your abstract or disclosure information after your abstract has been submitted, you may request your change via e-mail to email@example.com.
For changes to be considered, you must provide the following:
Filename (this is the 6-digit number you receive upon confirmation)
Your name, and the name of the first author on the abstract (if different)
Clearly indicate the requested change and location within your abstract
Please note: Only minor (yet critical) change requests will be made to your submitted abstract. Multiple change requests may not be accepted, and your abstract could be withdrawn. Drastic changes to abstract data will not be accepted.
Withdrawing a Submitted or Accepted Abstract
If an abstract must be withdrawn for any reason, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org prior to December 30, 2016. There is no penalty to withdraw your abstract; however, if your withdrawal request is received after the abstracts have been sent for publication, it cannot be withdrawn and will remain a part of the 2017 MDS published abstracts. All submitted abstracts become the property of MDS.
