Adaptable layout configurations make ACC Liverpool unique in Europe. An auditorium, break-out rooms, exhibition spaces and an event arena can be split, joined and arranged in countless ways. At ACC Liverpool the space fits you, not the other way around. ACC Liverpool offers a huge range of event space customisation, suitable for all kinds of events both large and small. Parts of the venue can be individually configured or utilised as a whole. Within ACC Liverpool the BT Convention Centre’s impressive main auditorium comfortably seats 1,350 delegates. It is divisible into three with two revolving seating ‘drums’ or sections that revolve 180 degrees to divide the space into three separate, self-contained auditoria of 250 (x2) and 850 seats. The convention centre also houses 18 breakout rooms with capacities ranging from 10 to 500. Each room is equipped with the latest telecommunications and data network, cabling infrastructure, Wi-Fi, digital audio visual facilities and acoustic panels for excellent sound clarity. Banqueting functions and exhibitions are easily accommodated in our versatile multi-purpose hall (3,725m², with space for 1,800 dinner guests). In addition, the arena floor has 3,400 m² of clear floor space and can be used for exhibitions or the arena can be used for conferences to seat up to 7,500.  Use the arena floor for your exhibition or hold your banquet there. The 22 hospitality suites can be used for small meetings or VIP offices. The multi-purpose hall, combined with the arena floor, gives event organisers a total of 7,125m² of freeflowing conference and exhibition space.

About the conference

Liverpool 2013 – Now that’s a first for the Association.

I do hope you will make the effort to come to Liverpool in early July for the Annual Meeting. This will be a packed 3 days that will include plenary sessions, symposia, presentation of trial results and original research. The meeting will have a number of themes:- questioning whether some new developments are as good as they are cracked up to be, the evidence behind routine practice, current status of bowel cancer screening, things that go bump in the night, as well as pelvic floor, stomas, quality of life after rectal cancer treatment as well as anal neoplasia. If this isn’t enough to entice you, the venue alone should be; set on the waterfront alongside the historic Liverpool docks. We also have a party night planned with a Merseyside theme. The vintage Beatles show The Cheatles will be present on the Tuesday evening and performing all the classic hits of the swinging sixties, not to be missed.  

So, clear the schedule, book your leave and put the dates in your diary. I look forward to seeing you in July.

The Welcome Reception will be held in the exhibition hall on Monday evening and stands must be manned during this time. Information on stand catering is available to enable stand holders to organise extra catering for their stands should they wish to do so.

 

Exhibition Layout

The majority of stands will be of white shell scheme 2.5m high, in units of 3m x 2m Multiple units can be reserved and we may be able to adapt stands to size if required. The stand will then be charged at the relevant price per square metre.

Please note that all stands will be allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.

Please note that some stands MUST be shell scheme, because of their location within the hall.

Exhibitor registration does not permit access to the conference sessions.

 

The Exhibition Package for each 3m x 2m/6sqm of shell scheme stand includes:

• Shell scheme exhibition stand

• Name board

• 500w Power socket

• Two spot lights

• Exhibiting on Monday evening, Tuesday all day and Wednesday till after lunch

• Catering for two stand representatives per day

• Company name and information listed in the final programme

 

The Exhibition Package for each 3m x 2m space only stand includes:

Presentation Area

For Liverpool 2013 we are introducing a new facility for some of our exhibitors to show case their products to a surgical audience. Exhibitors will be able to book sessions in our presentation area in the centre of the exhibition to enable them to talk to delegates about their products in a more formal setting with AV support, including two large plasma display screens. The sessions will be advertised in the conference programme. One session will automatically be included for exhibitors who book 24 sqm+ of exhibition space, allocated on a first come first served basis, with any remaining sessions then available for other exhibitors for £200 + VAT. Sessions will be approximately 20 minutes each.
