The 7th Australasian Virology Society Meeting (formally Australian Virology Group) will be held from the 8-11th of December, 2013 at the Millennium Hotel, Queenstown New Zealand. This is an outstanding opportunity for all students and researchers interested in human, animal, plant or prokaryotic virology to come together in a relaxed environment and discuss wide-ranging issues from fundamental virology research to diagnosis and control. The meeting will attract up to 200 delegates, including many of the top virologists in Australasia. The primary aims of the meeting are to foster interactions between virology fields and to provide a supportive environment within which students can present their research. The first six AVS meetings attracted extremely positive feedback from all those who attended.
This is the first time that the meeting has been held in New Zealand. Queenstown offers an exciting and quality venue at which to hold the seventh AVS meeting. On behalf of the organising Committee I invite you to participate in this virology focussed conference.
The conference will commence with the David White Oration on Sunday evening at 6:45pm. This will be followed by a Welcome Function.
We will conclude on Wednesday evening with the Conference Dinner. More program details will be posted soon.
