How to send abstracts:
 Email your abstract to with the subject reference ‘ED2013- your
surname then firstname’.
 Attach your abstract as a Word document.
 Please also include the following information at the end of your abstract:
- Name of main presenting author
- Membership number (if applicable)
- E-mail address
- Postal address
- Daytime telephone number
- Name of author’s work organisation
- General subject of presentation
Instructions on the preparation of abstracts:
1. Abstracts should be typed single spaced, font size 10 in Word format using standard
text, or text-only format. Apple Mac documents cannot be accepted.
2. The title should be in bold, followed by the full name(s) of the author and all co-authors,
including titles s(e.g. Dr) and their affiliations
3. Hand-written abstracts will not be accepted.

4. The title must contain no abbreviations and must be written in sentence case.
5. The abstract must be approximately between 200 and 300 words.
6. Submissions should clearly state the aims, methods and results of the study.
7. Bibliographic references, tables and appendices are not to be included in the abstract.
8. Please make sure you check all spellings carefully
Poster Presentation Prize for SHOs, SpRs, Specialty Trainees STs 1 - 6 and New
The Section of Eating Disorders has established a prize of £250 for the best poster presentation.
SHOs, SpRs, specialty trainees STs 1 - 6 and new consultants presenting work undertaken
during the training period are eligible, as well as comparable European colleagues.
Presentations specifically invited by the Section and work funded by the Section is NOT eligible.
If you wish to be considered for a prize please indicate this clearly in your submission.
