Event Overview
Welcome message:

We are delighted to invite you to the British Society for Allergy & Clinical Immunology Annual Meeting!

The 2014 conference will once again be held in our bright and spacious venue in Telford. The dates we have chosen are 28th to 30th of September – to make sure that it no longer overlaps with other relevant meetings and to avoid the summer holidays.

Our theme "Allergy – Towards True Multidisciplinary Care" celebrates the best of allergy care, our strong multidisciplinary approach with practitioners from primary, secondary and tertiary care all working together.

The 2014 programme also emphasises the multisystem nature of allergic disease and will have a particular focus on allergic respiratory disease.

Once again, we will be welcoming key opinion leaders from around the world as well as many locally renowned experts. This year the programme has dedicated strands for basic scientists, adult and paediatric clinicians, trainees and allied health professionals.

The popular Primary Care Allergy Day, which is fully supported by the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) and well embedded into the overall programme will offer an exciting programme aimed at new and existing allergy converts! As most allergic disease is being managed in the community we will be emphasising integrated care initiatives in allergy – and revisit the field of service commissioning.

We are excited at the number of junior members and students who have been attending the meeting. In previous years, they have enjoyed the breadth of the programme and the unique opportunity to mingle with experienced allergy practitioners. Let's continue to invest into the next generation of "Allergy Multidisciplinary Teams".

The programme allows for clinical and personal networking for doctors, nurses, dietitians and scientists – during the sessions via debate and discussions, over a cup of tea, in the exhibition area and with the poster presenters. We look forward to a lively and well attended social programme with the welcome reception on Sunday and the traditional President's Dinner in our new, historical setting. Do join us in Telford!
