Dear. fellowers. We are thankful to all people who visit our homepage.

Our society established in 1996 has been lots of efforts for academic activities related to stomach cancer and other stomach diseases and members' mutual friendship in spite of a little history less than 20 years. Through the opening of symposium and publishment of society journal, we propagated recent tendency of studying and share results of members' studying as well as opened international stomach cancer symposium two times and improved our status. Also, through the Korean laparoscope and gastrointestinal tract research society and Korea gastrointestinal tract tumor research society under our society, we are supporting academic studying of members. We collect national materials related to stomach cancer and provide them to members so as to apply them as the fundamental materials of studying stomach cancer. We published textbook, stomach cancer and gastrointestinal tract disease, and promoted standardization by publishing direction of stomach cancer's mentioned items and agenda of stomach cancer's treatment. Last year, we purchased society office which is our long-cherished ambition of our society. We are deeply thankful to all members including historical executives who make current Korea stomach cancer society with devotional efforts and passion. 

While the incidence of cancer is increased and recognition for it is changed rapidly, our society requests very various and professional knowledge. And, the scale of our society becomes bigger and roles becomes more important this time. So, we intend to seek our future and development. 

Through not only symposium but also all kinds of workshops, we not only vitalize both prevention, diagnosis and treatment of stomach cancer and other diseases of gastrointestinal tract but also approach fundamental problem, "life" which is medical's original mission. Through the efforts internationalizing periodical symposium, we will improve our international status. By making society journal more profitable, we must be recognized by the whole world. And, we will be stomach cancer society which is more developed academically through the vitalization of affiliated research society. We must make an effort for members' symposium support, international symposium participation, rights/interests protection and friendship activities. 

For it, all executives will conduct their duties with opened ears and mind, for all members. Please take care of our society so that we can be make not only our country who protects human's health but also international academic group with more love.
