Welcome message:

This course offers a review of important and timely topics in the field of perinatal medicine.
Based on a review of the literature, input from our own expert faculty, and analyses from past
conferences, we will offer a comprehensive program with topics that include: Bio-terrorism
during pregnancy; neurologic, pulmonary, common gastrointestinal diseases in pregnancy; fetal
growth disorders; updates on fertility and considerations for fertility preservation; preconception
counseling; preterm labor; stillbirth evaluation; fetal therapy; and intrapartum fetal heart rate
monitoring. Lectures by USC faculty from the Keck School of Medicine and guest faculty from
the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Eastern Virginia School of Medicine
will outline controversies, discuss recent developments, and suggest recommendations.
Participants will have direct access to the speakers and ample opportunity for intensive question
