The Metabolic Origins of Disease symposium will showcase groundbreaking research into the metabolic basis of a broad spectrum of diseases by 24 internationally renowned scientists. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with thought leaders who are spearheading efforts to expand our understanding of metabolism. A key focus will be on leveraging newfound insights to develop novel therapeutics and diagnostics targeting a range of diseases for which altered metabolism is an integral feature.

Submission Info

Scientific research abstracts related to the metabolic basis of disease are invited for poster presentations. All abstract submissions must be completed online by 8 p.m. Eastern Time on January 10, 2014. 

Please note: The presenting author must be registered for the symposium in order to submit an abstract. 

Abstract Title

  • The abstract title is limited to 81 characters including spaces. The abstract title should not contain authors or affiliations.

Abstract Format

  • The body of the scientific abstract may not exceed a character count of 1825 characters including spaces. If the abstract exceeds this character count, it will not be accurately printed.
  • Spell out Greek letters or use the Symbol font to ensure accurate printing of your abstract.
  • The abstract body should not contain figures or tables. Only text is permitted for the abstract body.

Poster Format

  • Guidelines for the poster format and presentation times will be emailed to the presenting authors of abstracts selected for poster presentations.
