MSK Course Purpose
This course is designed for musculoskeletal radiologists, general radiologists and clinicians in orthopedics and/or sports medicine who are interested in sports medicine imaging. The lectures resented will cover MRI imaging of various joints focusing on optimizing imaging protocol and image interpretation using a “checklist” approach with an emphasis on the most common internal derangements. When appropriate, normal post-operative imaging appearances and pathology will be emphasized.
MSK Educational Objectives
At the completion of the course, participants should be able to:
Recognize the most common internal derangements of the major joints.
Familiarize themselves with the optimal protocols for sports imaging.
Understanding the normal and abnormal appearance in post-operative cases.
Improve overall musculoskeletal imaging skills.
Neuro/ENT Course Purpose
This course is designed for neuroradiologists, general radiologists, and clinicians who have an interest in imaging of the brain, spine, and head and neck. The case material shown will
include a wide spectrum of the diseases that affect these areas. The specific utilization of CT, MRI, MRS, perfusion-diffusion and permeability imaging in the investigation of these
diseases will be discussed. In each section, the imaging protocols, anatomy, pathology, and the clinically relevant differential diagnoses will be reviewed. This course will improve the
participant’s ability to analyze CT and MR images, to offer a pertinent differential diagnosis, and to be familiar with the newest technologies applied to these regions.
Neuro/ENT Educational Objectives
At the completion of the course, the participant should be able to:
Present the essential anatomy and imaging protocols necessary to arrive at a diagnosis of the diseases of the central nervous system and head and neck.
Recognize both the common and uncommon CNS and ENT diseases.
Develop a differential diagnosis for each area that relates to the pertinent imaging and clinically relevant findings.
Review the application of the newest imaging techniques to these areas.
Improve the imaging skills of all of the course participants.
