The Organising and Scientific Competition Committees invite abstract submissions for SHBC Scientific Competition 2015 to be held from 2 – 3 October 2015 in Singapore at MAX Atria@ Singapore EXPO. The Scientific Competition is open to all researchers and medical professionals (Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents and Foreigners).
The Competition is an excellent platform to have your work peer-reviewed and recongnised by fellow healthcare experts in the respective fields. Outstanding abstracts will be shortlisted for Oral or Poster awards categories, and the rest of the accepted abstracts will be featured as free papers during the Congress. All accepted abstracts will be published in the Annals of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (AAMS).
Please read the preparation guide below prior to the submission process for the guidelines and rules that apply to abstract submission.
A. Eligibility Requirements
What is Eligible for Submission:
Authors may only submit abstracts where they are the 1st/Presenting author.
Abstracts that are written based on single case reports will not be accepted.
Submission based on a case series (at least 3 similar cases) illustrating or highlighting an important clinical aspect may be acceptable.
Abstracts to be submitted must be either of :
Original and unpublished works OR
Presented at other conferences but not published works
Abstracts which have been published with a different title may be considered.
Submission of abstracts for the scientific competition constitutes the authors’ consent to have their accepted abstracts:
To be presented during the Congress
To be published in the Annals of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (AAMS).
