2016 BRITISH SOCIETY FOR ALLERGY & CLINICAL IMMUNOLOGY (BSACI) ANNUAL MEETING
We are delighted to invite you to the British Society for Allergy & Clinical Immunology Annual Meeting. The 2016 meeting will be held at the Telford International Centre in Telford from the Thursday 29th September to Saturday 1st October 2016. Located on the outskirts of Telford 40 minutes from Birmingham and a little over 2 hours from London it is easy to get to and easy to find.
The 2016 programme will continue to host the popular joint sessions with the British Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, the British Association of Dermatologists and for the first time the British Society for Cutaneous Allergy. Several ‘Pro-con’ debates are planned to engender lively discussions and there will be sessions dedicated to respiratory allergy, immunotherapy, food allergy, drug allergy, venom allergy, urticaria and angioedema, quality improvement, the microbiome, translational and basic research by key opinion leaders. Following some great feedback in 2015 there will once again be a joint Allied Health Professional and Primary Care stream with hands-on workshops and interactive sessions on managing health beliefs and living with food allergy.
The programme allows for clinical and personal networking for doctors, nurses, dieticians, psychologists and scientists – during the sessions, or over a cup of tea in the exhibition area and with the poster presenters.
We are looking forward to a lively and well attended social programme which was very popular last year offering a mixture of good food from around the world, live music, casino and a disco. It promises to be a great evening of fun as well as an opportunity for networking across the BSACI community.
The President’s Dinner on Friday evening will once again take place in the more formal setting of RAF Cosford. We’ll be dining amongst some of the RAF’s most famous fighter planes and will be looking to raise funds for some of the most deserving causes in the allergy arena through our charity auction.
