On behalf of the International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM) and the European Society for Sexual Medicine (ESSM) we invite you to attend the joint World Meeting on Sexual Medicine that will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, on February 28 – March 3, 2018. This meeting combines two of the world’s largest meetings in the field of sexual medicine – 21st World Meeting of the International Society for Sexual Medicine and 20th Congress of the European Society for Sexual Medicine – and attracts delegates from far afield including Gulf Region, North and South America, Asia and Europe. Many specialists attending the meetings include (but are not limited to) scientists, clinicians, and physicians in the field of urology, andrology, gynecology, psychology, and psychiatry from all over the world.
The standard of the scientific content is very high and it is therefore regarded as the essential meeting to attend to present new data in all fields of Sexual Medicine.
Sexual Medicine has evolved over the years from just erectile dysfunction to encompass female sexual disorders and social and gender issues and now deals with all aspects of male and female health affected by these conditions. We are therefore keen to organize a large and comprehensive meeting program of high educational and scientific value to all members and guests.
Similar to the Societies’ meetings and congresses, we are planning a mixture of various State-of-the-Art Lectures, Podium Presentations, Poster Presentations, Interactive Sessions, Point-Counterpoint Sessions, Round Table Discussions, Pre-Conference Symposia and Educational Workshops. It is expected that approximately 1.400 health professionals working in the field of Sexual Medicine will come to Lisbon, Portugal to attend the World Meeting. As the European Society for Sexual Medicine is responsible for the organization of the European exam in sexual medicine, which is the first qualification in sexual medicine, it is to be expected that the exam will draw even more delegates from other countries. This exam is taken following a course prior to the Congress on a biennial basis.
This joint World Meeting on Sexual Medicine promises to be a unique outstanding scientific and educational experience with a diverse and international faculty that includes many of the acknowledged world experts and opinion leaders in the field of female and male sexual medicine.
We, therefore, hope you will join us in Lisbon for what promises to be an exciting and memorable meeting.
We look forward to meeting you!
With kind regards,
Prof. Dr. Luca Incrocci
Prof. François Giuliano
