Event Overview
Welcome message:

Founded in 1999 at Stanford University, the ISCT began as an annual international symposium for scientific collaboration and dissemination of the newly introduced technology of multi-detector row computed tomography. Independent since 2010, today the ISCT is a non-profit organization overseen by a diverse representation of top experts in CT whose passion is to ensure that CT is used to its greatest effect in safely diagnosing and characterizing disease for the betterment of human health worldwide. Joining radiologists, medical physicists, cardiologists, radiology technologists, healthcare administrators, the Society's mission is to serve the health care needs of the general public through the support of science, teaching and research and the quality of service in the field of computed tomography.

The ISCT continues to present the Annual International Symposium for CT. These symposia have a long tradition of success through the participation of world experts experienced with all aspects of medical CT participating in innovative programmatic elements that have included the long running Workstation Face-off, hot topic debates, and workstation-based case sessions.

In addition to the annual symposium, the ISCT offers a rich library of online learning materials available year-round. Please check out our growing body of CME accredited on-demand content intended to help you advance your practice and provide the highest quality service to your patients. With the rapid pace of technological change in CT, the need for education is critical. The ISCT is committed to providing programs that highlight evolving CT technology to provide most up-to-date information across a variety of platforms, while also serving as a forum for physicians and investigators to collaborate and compare imaging approaches and results.

Staying at the top of your game in the ever-changing world of radiology requires constant education & self-growth. Tick both boxes with ISCT's enduring on-demand content, now available online.

Our annual international symposium for CT covers hundreds of Continuing Medical Education (CME) accredited CT-specific topics over the course of several days. This content is later packaged and released each year as CME accredited courses available through ISCT’s Education On-Demand site, which allows access to over 300 innovative talks and a wide variety of CME accredited courses directed by industry leaders and radiology experts from around the country.

Online learning has evolved as a game changer for many in the healthcare industry, where busy schedules and long hours make it difficult to find the time to slip away to an educational conference. Our on-demand content is a flexible e-learning option that allows members of the radiology community to continue their medical education on a timeline that works for their specific needs.

Explore hundreds of hours of CT-specific CME accredited content, delivered by some of the top minds in radiology. Watch and rewatch your favorite sessions, get up to date on the latest topics in the industry, and learn at your own pace. Whether you're brushing up on your knowledge, trying to attain CME credits, or simply satisfying a thirst for knowledge, our on-demand content is the most comprehensive CT-specific catalog available.

There’s a reason why San Diego was voted the 10th best place to visit in the US! Whether you prefer soaking up rays on sandy white beaches, taking in the scenery of state parks, experiencing a vibrant dining scene, sightseeing in the city, or admiring the animals at one of the country’s top zoos, San Diego has something for everyone. When they’re not in sessions, attendees can take advantage of everything the city has to offer!

Things To Do:

1. Explore Balboa Park. One of San Diego's most popular attractions, Balboa Park is the largest urban cultural park in the US and includes 15 museums, enchanting gardens, and a variety of theaters and cafes. It's also home to the San Diego Zoo, another must-visit if you're bringing your family along with you to ISCT 2018.

2. Go out for an evening in the Gaslamp Quarter. This should be easy for anyone staying at The US Grant, since it's located directly in the Gaslamp district! The Gaslamp Quarter is the go-to for dining and nightlife in San Diego, and it's got a historic charm that you won't find many places. For cool craft cocktails and and rooftop bars, this is your place.

3. Grab some sand at La Jolla. It's one of the world's most scenic coastlines and hosts some amazing beaches. Whether you're into surfing, sight-seeing, or simply soaking up rays. La Jolla is one of the most picturesque places in San Diego to do so.

4. Tour the USS Midway Museum. If you're a lover of planes or of history, the USS Midway Museum is a must-see for your trip to San Diego. Located at Navy Pier, the museum has an extensive collection of military planes and vividly depicts what life at sea was like for America's soldiers.

Have other interests that the four attractions above didn't tick the boxes for? Not a problem! San Diego is a vibrant, cultural city, and it's got something to offer for anyone who visits.
