It is with great pleasure that I invite you to the International Spine
Intervention Society (ISIS) 21st Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM), July 16-20,
2013, being held at the Hilton New York in exhilarating New York City.
The Future of Spine Intervention, this year’s theme, is designed to enhance
the knowledge and clinical competence of physicians and allied health
professionals who care for patients with spine pain. ISIS ASMs deliver
quality information, evidence-based sessions, and high caliber domestic
and international speakers. The 21st ASM promises to bring a record
number of attendees.
Highlights of General Session include unique presentations addressing
image guidance and ultrasound-guided spine interventions, safe injection
practices, updated evidence for cervical transforaminal epidural steroid
injections, lessons learned from the tragic meningitis outbreak,
contemporary neurophysiology of chronic pain, scope of practice issues in
minimally invasive spine procedures, latest advancements in spinal cord
stimulation therapies, and cutting-edge research presentations.
Join ISIS all week and earn over 32 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™!
New this year, ISIS is offering two specialized symposia during the meeting,
Advanced Imaging and Ultrasound for the Spine Practitioner. The Advanced
Imaging course will give attendees a small-group opportunity to review
numerous spine cases to learn how to systematically examine large data
sets, filter out extraneous information, and focus on critical findings under
the guidance of top spine radiologists. The Ultrasound for the Spine
Practitioner session will feature lectures including the advantages and
disadvantages of musculoskeletal ultrasound; tissue characterization;
indications and risks; and evidence supporting the feasibility and performance of selected cervical injections using ultrasound.
Back by popular demand, ISIS will also offer the ISIS Accreditation Course in
Evidence- Based Medicine (EBM): Part I. Assessing Studies of Treatment
and the Coding, Billing and Reimbursement session. In the EBM course,
attendees will gain skills necessary to critically assess studies of treatment
and implement an evidence-based approach to clinical decision-making.
The Coding, Billing and Reimbursement session is a great opportunity to
receive expert answers to your intricate coding questions.
Space is limited for these additional offerings, register today.
Take advantage of this exceptional opportunity to network with the world’s
best in our specialized field. What a phenomenal week this will be! I look
forward to seeing you there.
