Event Overview
Welcome message:

Our 23rd Annual Spring Conference on Women’s Health is designed to provide the most current clinical information about the care of the female patient to OB/GYNs, family physicians, nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and all other healthcare professionals involved with the care of women. The goal of this conference is to increase knowledge and enhance the competence of attendees. Emphasis will be placed on practical application of the evidence-based topics presented.

Topics for this year’s conference have been selected based on the educational needs determined from the identified professional practice gaps. The gaps were derived from a variety of sources including evaluations and outcomes data from past participants; clinical expert input; Symposia Medicus’ online survey; and other medical and nursing data.

Conference format will include didactic lectures, smaller group breakout and interactive sessions, case studies, and question and answer sessions.

An outstanding faculty has been assembled for this conference. Each member was selected based on their individual area of expertise and ability to communicate current, evidence-based, and practical information to participants.

You are sure to enjoy our 23rd Annual Spring Conference on Women’s Health while sharing ideas and experiences with colleagues from across the country in the beautiful setting of St. Maarten.

St. Maarten is one of the most magnificent Caribbean islands. It is surrounded by beautiful blue water and white sand beaches, making it the perfect tropical getaway, and with its blend of French, Dutch, and Caribbean influences, this paradise island holds endless possibilities for adventures on both land and sea.

The smallest island in the world ever to have been partitioned between two different nations, Saint-Martin/Saint Maarten has been shared by the French and the Dutch in a spirit of neighborly cooperation and mutual friendship for almost 350 years. St. Maarten’s Dutch side is known for its festive nightlife, beaches, jewelry, exotic drinks, and plentiful casinos. The island’s French side is known for its outdoor markets and rich French and Indian Caribbean cuisine. Voted as one of the top 5 ‘Best Islands in the World’ by USNEWS.COM in 2015, St. Maarten is the island where you want to be.

The Westin Dawn Beach Resort & Spa is located on one of the most beautiful beaches on the Dutch side of the island. While relaxing in this paradise, you can shop to your heart’s content in the variety of boutiques and well-known shops in nearby Philipsburg (the shopping here is equal to or better than St. Thomas); explore the extraordinary local beaches on the island; pamper yourself in the Hibiscus spa; roll the dice and try your luck at the casino; or, discover St. Maarten’s best scuba diving spots.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten’s capital, is approximately three miles from our conference resort and offers the combination of historical legacy with 20th century excitement. Visitors will find examples of the beautiful, traditional West Indian architecture, endless shops and restaurants, as well as casinos and local nightlife fun!

Whatever your pleasure, you’ll be sure to find it in St. Maarten, at our 23rd Annual Spring Conference on Women’s Health.
