Welcome message:

This course is intended for the radiologist who would like a general radiology overview.  The aim of the course is to offer an across-the-board overview of material which has everyday application.  We invite you to join the faculty of the Duke University Radiology Department for a week of learning and relaxation.

Following participation in this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify and discuss the latest modalities and techniques being used int he field of Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Discuss differential diangoses of common disease processes as they are seen on radiologic images.
  • Demonstrate compliance with various governing agencies to sustain accreditation, licensing and board certification requirements.

Lectures will be held Monday-Friday from 7:30 am to 12:30 in the Brighton Tower conference room at Kingston Plantation in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Accommodations will not be confirmed without a check for the first night’s deposit or use of a credit card to guarantee your reservation.  You will be charged for the first night if reservations are not canceled 7 days prior to arrival.  These prices are exclusive of 11% taxes.

Room rates are exclusive of applicable state and local taxes which are currently 12%.  Quoted rates will be offered based on availability for three (3) days prior and three (3) days after the meeting dates.   Check in time is 4:00 pm and check out time is 11:00 am.

There is an additional $20 rate per adult, per suite above double occupancy in the Embassy Suites.  The hotel rate does include a complimentary buffet breakfast and complimentary manager’s reception daily per person, per day based on single/double occupancy, unless children under 18 are accompanied by adult.

Daily housekeeping services are offered in the condominiums and villas and consists of removing trash, vacuuming, making beds with existing linens and replacing bath linen.   Condo and villa rates do not include a $5.00 daily resort fee per unit.  The resort fee includes:

  • Unlimited 800 and local telephone calls
  • Door to door transportation (includes offsite transportation – 2 mile radius)
  • 24 hour Business Center access (internet, printing)
