Pre-Congress courses:

ISUOG is pleased to offer  pre-congress courses on Friday 15th September which offer focused content to complement the main Congress program. These courses run in parallel, so you can only choose one to attend

Essentials in fetal MRI:  Targeted at obstetricians, radiologists and clinicians involved in prenatal diagnosis, this course is an essential overview of Fetal MRI. Prof Daniela Prayer has selected an expert faculty to teach how to perform fetal MRI, explore typical fetal brain pathologies, discuss troubleshooting and finish with interesting case based discussions.

Modern obstetric management: the latest updates:  This course presents the state of the art in predicting and preventing adverse obstetric outcomes in an era of precision medicine and explores the relative roles of ultrasound and maternal biomarkers in predicting pre-eclampsia, pre-term birth, still birth and the prenatal diagnosis of fetal genetic conditions.The course is appropriate for obstetricians, maternal fetal medicine specialists, midwives and other professionals involved in managing or counselling for these conditions.

ISUOG Basic Training course:  this programme is designed to provide the knowledge required to distinguish between the range of normal ultrasound appearances and of the more common abnormal ultrasound appearances in the second trimester fetus. The day is aimed at trainees beginning their ultrasound careers in obstetrics, with limited prior ultrasound knowledge, and at clinicians wishing to refresh and update their knowledge of fetal anatomy. The course will be delivered in English by expert international educators. Trainees are invited to attend at subsidised rates.  

Trainees are also invited to join the Basic Training course plus hands-on Basic Training workshops on Saturday 16 September by registering to one of the two options specified below:

ISUOG Basic Training + Saturday day pass (trainees only):  ISUOG is offering trainees who attend the Basic Training pre-congress course on Friday 15 September to return on Saturday 16 for the first day of our World Congress at a special discounted two-day rate. We encourage you to join us on Saturday to listen to the most eminent experts in the field deliver the latest in cutting-edge research during the day’s plenaries and top abstract session. You are also invited to network with your peers and our faculty at the Saturday evening Opening ceremony and Welcome drinks social events. ISUOG will be hosting hands-on basic training workshops in parallel with Saturday’s program. ISUOG Basic Training + Simulation workshops (trainees only):  ISUOG will be hosting hands-on BasicTraining workshops on Saturday 16 September and is offering trainees who attend the Basic Training pre-congress course on Friday 15 September the possibility to do hands-on simulation training with an ISUOG tutor on normal and abnormal ultrasound appearances in the second trimester fetus.

Submitted abstracts should include unpublished data. 

All abstracts are anonymously peer reviewed, scored and allocated on merit to oral communication (OC), short oral presentation (OP), poster discussion hub (P) or electronic poster (EP) sessions. 

Scientific program sessions will be formulated around accepted free communication abstracts to ensure that the final program reflects the current research interest of our delegates and achieves the highest possible scientific standards. 

Invited and special lectures are chosen to compliment this material. All abstracts must be submitted via the official Congress online submission system at https://isuog2017.abstractcentral.com/

Reproduction of abstracts 

All abstracts accepted for presentation will be published in a supplement to ISUOG’s official Journal Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology (UOG). By submitting your abstract you agree to transfer the copyright to ISUOG should your abstract be accepted.

Recording of ISUOG’s presentations 

By submitting an abstract, you authorise ISUOG to record your presentation (if accepted) during the 27th World Congress on Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology. All or a portion of presentations, comments, documents and presentation slides presented will be recorded and may be selected for inclusion on ISUOG’s On Demand web portal for members and other users. If you do not wish your presentation to be recorded you will have the option to indicate this during abstract submission.

Abstract notifications 

You will be notified as to whether your abstract has been accepted in June 2017. Full details, including the timing of your presentations will be notified to accepted presenters at that time.

Presenting author registration requirement 

PLEASE NOTE: In order for an abstract to be considered for oral presentation, the presenting author must be registered and paid by the submission deadline 31 March 2017. Any abstract whose presenting author is not registered will not be considered for oral presentation. Presentations will be accepted in PowerPoint format only. More information will be made available on how to upload your PowerPoint slides for the Congress after your abstract has been accepted.
