 Dear colleagues, dear friends,

On behalf of IAAP, and in collaboration with the French Federation for Psychologists and Psychology (FFPP) as well as French Society of Psychology (SFP), along with the French National Committee of Scientific Psychology (CNFPS), under the umbrella of the French Consortium of Psychology Associations (A-CIPA), I am pleased to confirm that the forthcoming International Congress of Applied Psychology will take place in Paris in early July 2014. Applied Psychology is living a stimulating scientific period, with considerable work in connection to the many societal crisis and events around the world. Claude Lévy-Leboyer, who has played an important role in IAAP, is our Honorary President for this ICAP. The Scientific Program Committee is composed of IAAP members from all over the world, both French and English speaking. The ICAP was organized in Paris the last time… in 1953, and never since did we get the opportunity to host IAAP; therefore, we are happy to invite you all to join us for the 28th ICAP.

Dear colleagues and friends,

As most of you know, the International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP) was founded in 1920 and it is nowadays integrated by nearly 3000 members from more than 80 countries who are active in the different disciplines of Psychology through its 18 divisions. Among many other activities and services, IAAP organizes every four years the International Congress of Applied Psychology, a great occasion for exchanging ideas, developing new projects, and enhancing for each of us our friendship network.

On behalf of IAAP, I am proud and pleased to invite you to the 28th International Congress of Applied Psychology (ICAP) that will be held in Paris, from 8-13 of July in 2014. I also encourage you to prepare and take steps to assure your participation in such an important international event of Psychology.

SEND YOUR RESERVATION REQUEST EARLY to have a WIDER CHOICE and SECURE YOUR HOTEL ROOM!

After the 1st of June 2014, any reservation requests received are subject to room availability and cannot be guaranteed by the Organizers. 
Hotel rooms at special Congress rates are being held for Congress participants in various hotels of different categories all over Paris.
All rates are indicated in Euros, per night and per room. Reservations must be made through the Congress Office to guarantee the indicated rates negotiated for the Congress.

You can submit your reservation request in the two following ways:

• Reservation per phone will not be processed.
• All nights must be prepaid in advance. The amount corresponding to your entire stay will be charged upon reservation and will be automatically deducted from the total amount of your hotel bill at check out.
• Upon receipt of your hotel reservation request, MCI will email you an invoice/confirmation letter summarizing accommodation details and specifying payment status.
• In case of no-show, the pre-paid night(s) will be held by the hotel.
• If you shorten your stay, no refund will be made of the cancelled pre-paid room nights.
• Bookings are ensured on a first come first served basis. However, in the event that your preferred room type is no longer available at the time of booking, the Organizers will do their utmost to accommodate your requests with a similar alternative.
• Upon receipt of your hotel reservation request, MCI will send you an invoice/confirmation email summarising accommodation details and specifying your payment status.

Hotel reservation cancellation policy - for individual reservations
All cancellations must be notified in writing (by mail, fax or e-mail) to the Congress Office according to the following conditions:

• Up to 28th April, 2014: the 15 Euros will be withheld for administrative fee
• Cancellations between 29th April and 6th May, 2014: 50% of the deposit will be withheld
• After 6th May, 2014: no refund

List of Hotels

All rates are indicated in Euros (€) per night and per room and include VAT tax and service. VAT rate is 10%. The rates are subject to current french legislation and valid for 2014. For breakfast and city tax policy, please refer to table below.
Reservations for the hotels listed below must be made through the Congress Office to guarantee the indicated rates.
According to their location, some hotels are at walking distance from the Congress venue, some others are at a few minutes away by public transportation. There will be no shuttle services provided by the Congress between the official hotels and the Palais des Congrès.

UNIVERSITY HOUSING and LOW COST ACCOMMODATION

A list of suggested establishments for university housing and low cost hostel accommodation in Paris will be made available on the Congress Web site. Reservations for these establishments will not be handled by the Congress Office and will have to be made directly.
