It is truly an honor for the Indonesian Society of Internal Medicine as well as all Indonesian people to host the 33rd World Congress of Internal Medicine (WCIM) on 22nd - 25th August 2016, in one of the world's most beautiful place , the island of the gods, Bali.
Bali is unique in that throughout its history it has been able to preserve its unique Hindu culture and combining it with a modern world-class infrastructure, such that the island is presently one of the world’s favorite tourist and convention destinations. This “island of the gods” – as Bali is known - provides ease of travel.
It is with confidence that we anticipate WCIM 2016 in Bali to be a truly unforgettable experience, with high-quality scientific programs in a unique Balinese ambience. After sessions, participants can partake in our wide array of cultural presentations, spectacular traditional performances as well as world-class relaxation activities.

On behalf of the organizing committee, we would like to invite you to join the 33rd World Congress of Internal Medicine (WCIM) to be held on 22nd - 25th August 2016, in Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC), Bali, Indonesia.
The 33rd World Congress of Internal Medicine (WCIM) is designed to promote scientific knowledge, medical advancement, and the delivery of effective healthcare in the field of Internal Medicine. The scientific papers will be mostly presented and moderated by leaders in the field and attendees will benefit from the lively discussions on thought-provoking and timely topics in Internal Medicine.
The main reason we choose Bali as the conference venue is because of its strategic location. Easy access with direct flight from prominent cities in the world and served by at least 30 international airlines. The government of Indonesia has granted 45 countries for free visa and another 35 countries for Visa on Arrival (VoA). With easy access and international meeting facilities we are confident the 33rd World Congress of Internal Medicine (WCIM)) will break a new record in term of participants’ number.
On the other hand the newly renovated spacious International airport, the direct new toll road from airport to Nusa Dua area, and the high-tech convention center will ensure the smooth organization of the meeting as well as the conveniences of all participants.

GUIDELINES AND GENERAL INFORMATION FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
"YOU NEED TO BE REGISTERED AS A DELEGATE OF WCIM 2016 FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACT."
1. Important Guidelines
There are two types of presentation: poster and oral (podium) presentation. Please select one of them. Please indicate your choice in the top corner of your abstract: Oral Presentation or Poster
Committee will decide on the final presentation type (oral presentation or poster)
The abstracts should be within 300 words (maximum half A-4 size page) and the entire submission must fit on a single page.
Please Note: graphs / tables / images should not to be included in the abstract.
Abstracts should be prepared in Microsoft Word Arial, 12 point with single line spacing, typeface, with the title in boldface.
It is the author's responsibility to submit a correct abstract. Any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific fact will be reproduced as typed by the author.
The abstract should have a short, specific title (containing no abbreviations) that indicates the nature of the investigation. Title should be in boldface font. The title should not exceed 20 words in UPPER CASE only.
2. How to name and send the abstract

Notification of acceptance of abstracts submitted will be sent by e-mail at the latest by 15th July 2016
3. Abstract Guidelines (300 words or half page of A4 size page)
Background/Rationale: Indicate the purpose and objective of the research, the hypothesis that was tested or a description of the problem being analyzed or evaluated.
Methods: Describe the setting/location for the study, study design, study population, data collection and methods of analysis used.
Results: Present as clearly and detailed as possible the findings/outcome of the study, with specific results in summarized form. Inclusion of gender breakdown of data is strongly encouraged.
Findings or Conclusion: briefly discuss the data and main outcome of the study. Do not begin sentences with numerals. Standard abbreviations may be used without definition.
4. Instructions for the preparation of oral presentations
When combining video films with PowerPoint for oral presentation, please note the following points:
Please note that the conference computers in the session halls are being supplied with Windows 7 and Office 2013.
Insert pictures as JPG files (and not TIF, PNG or PICT - these images will not be visible on a PowerPoint based PC).
Use a common movie format, such as MP4 and AVI.
Presenter cannot use his or her own laptop
Please submit the presentation file at Slide Counter at the latest 3 hours before presentation time
Equipment Supplied: LCD Projector hooked up to a desktop or laptop, laser pointer
Please note that the conference desktops or laptops are being supplied with Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2013.
Bring your presentation on USB jump/flash drive or CD.
5. Instructions for the preparation of Poster (Manual)
Each poster board measures 200 cm height and 90 cm width.
It must fit within frame and easily readable from a distance of one meter or more. It should include brief written selections, methods, result and conclusion of presented study.
Abstract must be accompanied by payment of registration fees. If the abstract is subsequently not accepted for presentation, the registration fee will be refunded to the author.
INSTRUCTION FOR CHAIRPERSONS
It is strongly important to make sure that the session finishes on time.
Consult with your co-chairperson and decide who is going to introduce which speaker.
Introduce the speaker briefly (name, instruction/organization)-there is not enough time to give a detailed personal history of the speaker.
Remind the speaker that he /she has a total of minutes for presentation (see presentation and discussion time below).
In order to make session as interactive as possible, please allow for Q&A discussion at the end of the session.
The most important party of your job is to keep speaker on time. We have a tight schedule to keep, and the organizers are relying on you to keep the session on schedule. You are authorized to be forceful in keeping speakers to time and on task
INSTRUCTION FOR SPEAKERS
Speaker Preview Room
Please bring your presentation data to the Speaker preview room at least 4 hour before your presentation.
Before your presentation
Data will be copied to a server and transferred to the presentation room via LAN
Please inform the officer at the Slide Counter if you prefer to use your own laptop. Kindly be aware that your laptop will be placed at the operator desk and not at the podium. You will be able to operate your slide using slide clicker; pointer and mouse will be also available at the podium.
Kindly advise us other logistical arrangements that you may need (i.e., MAC computer, connections for video or audio presentation, etc.)
Please kindly pay attention to your allocated time
At your presentation
A monitor, remote key, and mouse will be prepared on the speaker’s desk.
The first page of the slides will be placed on the screen by our staff. Speakers must control their slides themselves by using the switch on the speaker’s desk. Please follow the instruction given by our staff.

The committee will organize an exhibition in conjunction with the congress, featuring the latest pharmaceutical, instrumentations, and medical equipment for clinical managements and research. Companies interested in participating in the exhibition may request for details from the congress secretariat. The exhibition will be opened from 07.00 - 17.00, Monday to Thursday (August 22nd-25th 2016). The exhibition will take place at the exhibition hall that is located in the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC).
