Event Overview
Welcome message:

Of the many cardiopulmonary bypass and perfusion conferences available in 2014, one offers comprehensive, quality education for every member of the cardiac team. Since 1981, the California-based San Diego Cardiothoracic Surgery Symposium, a continuing medical education and perfusion conference, has been meeting the continuing-education needs of CCPs, MDs, PA-Cs, RNs, and biomedical professionals whose work relates to cardiac surgery and cardiopulmonary bypass.

Focusing on the interdisciplinary aspect of quality healthcare, CREF 2014 offers Category 1 CME and CEU credits for the entire surgical team: perfusionists learn alongside nurses, surgeons, physician assistants, and anesthesiologists, and everyone leaves with a greater understanding and appreciation of the collaborative effort required to provide the best healthcare possible.

This annual continuing medical education conference focuses on the science, techniques, and technologies of cardiopulmonary bypass and extracorporeal perfusion. It offers a scientific agenda you simply cannot find anywhere else: in-depth presentations by leading experts in the field, hands-on training workshops, open “fireside” discussions with faculty moderators, panel and case discussions, and daily Product Theaters on topics related to cardiovascular surgery and extra-corporeal perfusion. The CREF meeting’s impressive exhibit show features 12,000 square feet of the newest, hottest equipment and technology available on the market today.

The CREF 2014 perfusion conference is held in San Diego, California, at the newly constructed Hilton San Diego Bayfront, with a fantastic room rate of $224 per night. The 2014 meeting includes the following:

  • Internationally renowned, top-caliber faculty, speaking on topics relevant to your current and future practice
  • High CME and CEU totals for one low registration fee, with additional credits available through hands-on training workshops.
  • A two-day exhibit show, featuring the latest products from industry leaders
  • Extracurricular San Diego and Southern California activities for everyone: By foot: Seaport Village or the Gaslamp Quarter, with premier shopping and dining; by car: Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, beaches, Coronado Island, La Jolla, or Disneyland—just to name a few.

Over the years, the 34th Annual San Diego Cardiothoracic Surgery Symposium has continually adapted to meet the changing needs of the profession, but one thing remains the same: the CREF meeting’s sole purpose is to provide you the best continuing education you can find anywhere, at a reasonable cost, with the maximum number of CEUs needed to recertify, in a beautiful location that offers plenty to do in your free time. Other perfusion conferences will appear, many that appear modeled after the CREF meeting, but rest assured that the San Diego Cardiothoracic Surgery Symposium’s 34-year track record speaks for itself.

So feel free to take a look around, and if you have further questions, contact us and we’ll be happy to help. If you would like regular updates about the San Diego, California CREF perfusion conference, follow us on Twitter, friend us on Facebook, or sign up to receive our e-newsletter.
