The conference will be on June 16-18, 2015 at Alicante, Spain, Europe. The theme of the conference is around, " Exploring the Possibilities in Shaping the Future of Dental and Oral Health”. To improve oral health outcomes, dental practitioners and service systems need to expand their focus to address, in a systematic way, population health issues such as the promotion of a dentally healthy lifestyle and behaviours, and the early identification and treatment of  oral health problems. This requires a greater team approach within dental practice, involving general and specialists dentists and other oral health practitioners. So the conference will be helpful to review these assumptions with evidence that there are a number of opportunities to make better use of the various members of the oral health workforce.

Dental Diseases are Europe’s most  prevalent health problem. Oral cancer is the 5th most important cancer in men in Europe. According to WHO, In Spain, nearly 1 in 5 people suffers with periodontitis. It has been estimated that Dental services in Spain are provided through a network of 18,300 public and private dental offices. Moreover, 26,000 dentists’ and commercial laboratories are active, with 7,500 dental technicians operating either as owners or employees. Worldwide, 60–90% of school children and nearly 100% of adults have dental cavities. Dental cavities can be prevented by maintaining a constant low level of fluoride in the oral cavity. Severe periodontal (gum) disease, which may result in tooth loss, is found in 15–20% of middle-aged (35-44 years) adults. Globally, about 30% of people aged 65–74 have no natural teeth. Oral disease in children and adults is higher among poor and disadvantaged population groups.
