Event Overview
Welcome message:

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Conference Committee, I am delighted to invite you to the 3rd EUNETHYDIS International Conference on ADHD which is being held in Istanbul, Turkey from Wednesday 21st to Saturday 24th May 2014.

In the tradition of EUNETHYDIS meetings, our primary focus will be on ADHD and related disorders. Our ultimate objective of the basic science endeavour is to better understand the nature of ADHD in order to stimulate therapeutic innovation and to ground the diagnosis and treatment on best current evidence. This conference will encourage the exchange of ideas and data to advance the collaboration between scientists and clinicians working in the field of ADHD – working together we can improve the care of our patients and their families.

A global faculty of distinguished and leading experts in ADHD will host a scientifically challenging programme of plenary sessions, clinical workshops and satellite symposia…relevant to every day ‘evidence based’ clinical practice.

The plenary sessions are built around ‘key themes’ in ADHD each with a key note lecture and presentations by expert speakers on the associated topics.  These themes have been carefully selected to provide a coherent progression from basic science to ADHD in clinical practice.

In addition to the plenary sessions, we will also be holding parallel sessions and satellite symposia; these sessions will focus on sharing ‘best clinical practice’ and will provide you with opportunities to work and network closely with your colleagues and internationally renowned experts in ADHD.

If you are an ‘early career’ scientist or clinician you may be eligible to participate in the J-EUNETHYDIS Conference as well as the Main Conference. Please go to the J-EUNETHYDIS web page for further details.

I do hope you will join us for what promises to be a stimulating and enjoyable conference.

Please do register early and encourage your colleagues to also join us in Istanbul – I look forward to welcoming you all!

Best wishes,

Accommodation:

Istanbul is the largest city in Turkey, constituting the country’s economic, cultural, and historical heart. The city’s biggest draw remains its historic centre, but its cultural hub can be found across the city’s natural harbour, the Golden Horn, in the Beyoğlu district.

EUNETHYDIS has partnered with Dekon Congress & Tourism to offer preferred hotel bookings to all delegates.

Please click here to access the hotel bookings portal.

Guidance for presenting posters

Posters should be displayed on the morning of Thursday 22nd May. There are two poster sessions: Thursday 22nd andFriday 23rd May, both from 17.30 to 18.30. Please plan to be available with your poster during Thursday’s poster exhibition.

Authors and delegates are also encouraged to visit the poster area at other intervals in the main scientific programme to discuss and exchange ideas with colleagues.

The Eunethydis Scientific Committee will select the 20 ‘best posters’ from those exhibited on Thursday and these will be displayed seperately and discussed separately during Friday’s poster session. You will be advised on Thursday 22nd May during the poster session if your poster has been selected for this additional activity.

Your poster number will be displayed on signs at the poster exhibition and also in the abstract book. Eunethydis staff will be available to assist you on the day.

Poster requirements:

  • Your poster should be no larger than 150cm high by 90cm wide (portrait format)
  • Please state any conflicts of interest relevant to your work on the poster
  • When referring to pharmacological treatment, please use generic names only. Failure to do this may result in your poster not being exhibited
  • All posters should be written in English
  • The text of the poster should be large enough to be viewed from a distance of 1m so lettering should be at least 1cm high for good visibility
  • Each poster should have a top banner indicating the title of the paper, the names of the authors and their affiliations. The characters in the banner should be at least 2.5 cm
  • Printed handouts may be useful and we suggest 100-200 A4 handouts which summarise your work and include no commercial or promotional material
  • Fixings – to be confirmed

Please remove your poster by the end of the conference. Posters not removed by the presenters will be removed by congress staff and taken to the poster service desk. Eunethydis International Conferences cannot accept liability for lost or damaged posters.

Please ensure you are registered to attend the conference otherwise you will not be able to exhibit your poster.
