Our purpose-built centre offers the very best in facilities and technology; and our experienced, enthusiastic team will help to ensure your event's success. And we conjure up those defining moments that delegates remember long after they have left. We would love you to visit us and see for yourself. In the meantime, we hope our website gives you an idea of what is possible for your event.

What do we mean to Edinburgh?

The EICC is owned by the City of Edinburgh Council and operates as an independent commercial venture. With its history, architecture and festivals, Edinburgh has long been popular with tourists but the EICC was built to attract more business visitors. Since opening in 1995, we have welcomed over a million delegates through our doors for more than 2,500 events, generating £400m in economic impact for the city. But perhaps more importantly, the EICC is also a source of great pride for a city that has flourished through celebrating its past whilst always looking to the future.

The Controlled Release Society (CRS) is pleased to announce exciting new programming changes for the 42nd CRS Annual Meeting & Exposition, the premier international event in delivery science and technology.

NEW! Scientific Session Format

Based on valuable feedback from members and attendees, 20 Scientific Sessions will be developed using the following formula. This approach will allow the CRS Annual Meeting Program Committee to build a program that offers:

  • greater industry participation
  • more time for Q&A among speakers and session attendees
  • brief research updates with further opportunity to discuss a scientific poster presentation
  • value-added moderation by esteemed CRS Fellows

“This year’s Call for Abstracts is organized around 10 core areas that represent the wide diversity of scientific and technical expertise in the delivery science arena. This new approach to organizing annual meeting content is designed to produce a balanced program while allowing greater flexibility in the creation of meeting content that reflects CRS member interests. We plan to offer meeting attendees expanded opportunities to exchange information on cutting-edge research, new technologies, and emerging growth areas. We look forward to receiving your abstract submissions, and urge you to spread the word about CRS and the Annual Meeting as we enthusiastically head to Edinburgh in July 2015.”

10 Core Areas Include Three Primary Tracks of Interest: Bioactive Materials, Consumer & Diversified Products (C&DP), and Preclinical Sciences & Animal Health (PSAH) Applications
