Continuing Education and Professional Development (CEPD), Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, is fully accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Continuing Medical Education (CACME), a subcommittee of the Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools (CACMS). This standard allows CEPD to assign credits for educational activities based on the criteria established by The College of Family Physicians of Canada, and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Additionally, the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education of the United States (ACCME) maintains a reciprocity relationship with CACME, which the American Medical Association (AMA) recognizes for the purpose of allowing Canadian medical schools the ability to accredit activities for AMA PRA Category 1. As a result of a reciprocal agreement between the AMA and the European Accreditation Council for CME (EACCME), this agreement permits CEPD to assign EACCME credits.

Event Overview
Welcome message:

I would like to personally welcome you to the University of Toronto Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Symposium and Breast Symposium website.

The University of Toronto Educational Symposium, now known as the Toronto Aesthetic Meeting, began 43 years ago as initiated by Dr. W.R.N Lindsay. Over the years it has grown considerably and generated international status. The symposia are highly educational and allow for intimate interaction between the attendees and faculty. The feedback we receive annually from you, the attendees, is very helpful in planning the meeting from year to year, not only in terms of program content but also the preferred format. Drs. Tom Bell and Frank Lista and the organizing committee continue to work hard to put together a first-class program for the Aesthetic Symposium this year inviting faculty that are considered international leaders in their field, to spend the maximum amount of time teaching and interacting with the audience. Subject matter is always topical and timely.

The Toronto Breast Symposium, held on the first day of the 3-day event, is a great complement to The Toronto Aesthetic Meeting and combines aspects of aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery, with a combination of local and international faculty. In 2013, Dr. Mitchell Brown and his organizing committee have put together an impressive program for the Toronto Breast Symposium, which we are sure you will find highly instructive and enjoyable.

The Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery is proud to be able to complement these two meetings with local faculty experts. The Toronto Aesthetic Meeting received endorsement by both the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) and the Canadian Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (CSAPS).

On behalf of the University of Toronto’s Division of Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery I look forward to personally welcoming you to Toronto this spring.
